Very ordinary looks, but the food is solid. We had the seafood and green onion pancake, and it was very tasty and savory. We shared the Bool Nak (hot pot with broth, octopus, beef and vegetables) and after cooking at the table, was easily enough for 4 people! Spicy and quite delicious! And our waitress seemed to delight in serving... More

I had the bi bimbop. It's one of my favorites. I've had it in 10 other Korean restaurants. They only charge of 995. It was as good as restaurants that charge twice as much. Get it with black rice. Delicious.

I've been here a few times with my mom and the food's always been good. I usually get soondubu, but the last time I went, I ordered bibimbop and I wasn't that impressed. Perhaps it was because I didn't really like the runny yolk. Overall, I like the place. Just the last time I went, I wasn't all too happy... More

This is a terrific Korean restaurant in a nondescript shopping mall. If you blink you may miss this restaurant as it is so unassuming in the corner of the plaza! The food is terrific, so look past the bland decor. When I was there with my family for dinner, it seemed as if one woman were running the whole show.... More

We have lived in Glenview for many years, but until I read an item in Yelp, didn't know this had become a Korean restaurant. We tried it for lunch, and it was nearly but not quite empty at 1:30 pm. The waitress was friendly and offered help at many points. The onion and seafood pancakes were great, but almost too... More

I have been to Cho Jung several times and it never disappoints. The cooking is traditional and tasty! I never have had a bad meal there.

I love exploring new cuisines and Cho Jung was a great introduction to Korean food. We were the only non-Koreans in the place for lunch--always a good sign that the food is authentic. The menu gives the name of the food in Korean and then lists the English translation. The meal begins with about 10 little appetizer plates. I didn't... More

Our family eats here often. This place is 100% Korean. Sometimes, the owners son may inform patron when they enter that this is NOT a chinese restaurant. We love the grill at the table, referred to as Korean BBQ, although there isn't any BBQ sauce as american's know it. The soups are great also. You will get a ton of... More

So authentic that we had no idea what to order. We couldn't read the menu and didn't know anything about how to eat the food. We took our 3 kids and had a blast. They were friendly and helpful. We tried the most amazing things and although we felt a little silly, it was a fun adventure for all.
