After a long day of traveling, I stayed at a nearby hotel, but didn't want hotel food, so I walked over to Max's. So glad I did. I had corned beef sandwich on rye, a potato latke (pancake) and the pickles they serve on the side. The tenderest corned beef on the freshest rye bread I've had in a long... More

If you like Jewish type food like Corned Beef, Blintzes and other such items this is the place. They are playing off the name Max and Benny's that is the king for Jewish type food.

We've eaten here numerous times & it seems to be a hit or miss kind of place. We've had excellent corned beef here one time and the next time it was so-so. the breakfasts are more consistent. the pickles that are automatically served with each meal are amazing

If you want deli or just a good meal, Max's is the place. Service is efficient. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Near many hotels and plenty of free parking. Clean and well run. Bug menu. Everything tastes good. Good recipes.

After reading some of the reviews I expected the wait staff to be slow and indifferent. Instead my experience was complete 180 degree, our waiter was friendly and attentive without being brother some. We have been to the famous, well know delis in L.A. and NYC, most of those meals was good but can’t understand why people pay outrage prices... More

We stopped for lunch on a rainy day, the tomato basil soup was delicious but the cabbage soup was overly sweet - almost more like a dessert. Loved the whitefish salad; smoky and flavorful but also very rich. Loved the crispy pickles on the side.

I've been here many times and this restaurant never disappoints. So many things to choose from on the menu, great service, and perfect if you don't celebrate and are looking for some food to eat! It was one of the only places open to eat on Christmas. Great food and well priced.

Five of us for lunch. Four had either egg omelletes or sandwiches-delicious. The fifth order was for cabbage soup. Too sweet for the taste of the orderer. Service was friendly and very good

Who knew. Nu. But it makes sense. A very large Jewish community in the Chicago northern suburbs. I had a corned beef sandwich that would choke a horse. With lattkes. Oy. Wonderful.
