Have not been here in probably 15-20 years. Every bit as good as I remember it! Food and service both fantastic. Will definitely come back more often!

With a height end town with snobby eateries, the Latern is an oasis of casual atmosphere. My kind of a burger and a beer place to park for a while.

Great for kids and families. Fairly loud at times, and the dining area is separated from the bar area. Food is good, but greasy, but better than fast food.
Great place for families. Limited menu but very good in what they offer. Service is usually good. Prices are excellent.

There are not many truly causal, local restaurants in Lake Forest but if there only can be one thank goodness for the Lantern. Good food, great service and reasonable prices (and free popcorn!).
