Thought I would love this winery and I gave it several tries. The staff is snooty and the food was less than to be desired. Most disappointing of local Wineries, it has so much potential and it let me down more every time I visited.

This location is so beautiful, even in February, I really want to come back when everything is green. The wine was tasty, and they have a selection of local beers as well. We ordered pizza, and it did not disappoint. Soft, but not soggy, crust and just great overall. Probably 7/10 would recommend.

We stopped here, tried a few wines, then ordered a pizza and a bottle of wine. The pizza was amazing! Some of the best we have had and so happy we stopped and tried it.

Blue Sky is a nicely developed winery in southern Illinois that offers a large selection of wines. The building itself is quite attractive and compared to many of the other wineries in the area is one of our top rated places to visit. Give it a try.

Drink your heart out here with local wines. Sit outside and enjoy some live music, or just enjoy the scenery. Biker friendly parking... (been there before on the bike). You can have weddings here too. Just all together a nice place.

Beautiful location, views and decorating. Plenty of sitting area and helpful staff. Many gifts and wine is delicious. Decent prices and the best olive oil on the planet!

This winery is very nicely decorated in a Tuscan-style and had lovely wines and large sitting areas both inside and out. There was a muscician playing and singing on the Sunday that we visited. There appeared to be a walking trail that went up past an old farm-style windmill. The ceiling fans appeared to be old windmill blades, too. There... More

First time on the trail! Stayed 1 nite B/B. Landscaping was one of the best. Small pond, man made waterfall, grapevines on site. Lots of table and chairs. Architecture inside was nicely done. Only Two separate rooms above wine bar for renting. For breakfast they brought us muffins, cheese and ham with toasted Bread. Oj.coffee in room

Makanda, Illinois, isn't to be confused with Napa Valley or the South of France. But, while looking for a place to eat lunch while driving through the Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois, we came upon Blue Sky Vineyards, a family owned vineyard and winery and restaurant located at 3150 South Rocky Comfort Road near Makanda. It anchors the eastern... More

A friend had some wedding pictures taken here and it was beautiful and wine was great! Don't let the crazy back road into this area scare you! It's worth the drive.

It's part of Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, http://www.shawneewinetrail.com/. Also has a couple of B&B rooms, but I would only be reviewing their food.
