Both my wife's and my food were under cooked (mine shrimp, hers chicken). They took it back and with the speed of the return must have microwaved it since the chicken still had the cut marks in it. He did not apologize, and they did nothing for us to even somewhat showed that it mattered to them. I could not... More

Just a night out to try restaurant we have not been too. Small storefront not very fancy, but if you want great food and generous portions at reasonable prices this is it.

Food is basic and barely ok. Waitress was not interested in serving us or working that night. Salad was old, brown and limp. Bread was good and pasta with shrimp and garlic was okay.

This is not a place that I would go back to. Went twice with mixed experience. When you do not speak you mind then everything is good. Being a very patient person, to feel ignored - well it really takes a while to get me to express that. Ordered the lasagna which was supposedly made to order - it was... More

I have never had a bad meal in this restaurant (either the old location or the new one). The atmosphere is good and the servers do a fine job. The new location is a much newer building and is very nice. I always order the "Taste of Italy" from the menu. It consists of soup/salad and a small loaf of... More

My friend and I braved the rotten rain storm last night and deliberately sought out the "new" location of this restaurant. We had always liked the food at the old location on Main St. in McHenry (which is the picture of this listing - needs to be changed) but the restaurant was aging badly and had an bit of the... More

This place is not good. My wife and I accidentally went here...we thought we were walking in to a different restaurant (long story) and we were extremely disappointed with our meals. You can get better Italian food from Domino's Pizza and I haven't ordered Domino's in at least five years. Besides being bad food the place smells gross and overall... More

Very good food and attentive wait staff. The food was very good as is the atmosphere. Reminds me of a little restaurant in New york I once visited. Sort of tucked back in a little shopping mall where some of the stores are empty. Plenty of parking!

A Touch of Italy is located in a strip mall with no sign. There were 6 tables seated, so about a third of the available tables were occupied . The crab cakes were made with artificial crab meat - so can a restaurant really call it crab cakes? The sauces are good, but it is the cheapness that goes with... More

I initially liked this restaurant a lot and was going to give an excellent review until I consulted my boyfriend who accompanied me to this establishment, along with his restaurant.com coupon. Service was a bit slow, but then again we were warned of this via a large sign in the lobby stating that homemade food = long waits. After waiting... More
