I stayed overnight here when I was up for an evening event in the town. Lovely hotel / bar and my room was really well decorated and cosy. Lots of attention yo detail. Also a lovely full English brekkie and friendly staff.

We arrived early evening to a friendly welcome. The menu was simple but with plenty to choose from AND there was a specials menu. The team were very helpful. The food arrived quickly and tasted great. Perfect spot for a quick bite to eat.

Food was good, nice atmosphere and a lovely building. Warm atmosphere but the service was slow, almost like nobody really knew what their job was. Would return though if in the area.

We wanted a light lunch and decided to try this place- over ten years ago we walked in and then straight back out as it was so awful. It was a delight to see the well decorated bar and eating area. We were warmly greeted by a pleasant young lady and shown a table and given menus and our drink... More

Came here for a spot of lunch the other day. Ordered the 2 for £10 lunchtime curry special. It was a chicken madras and came with chips/rice of combo of your choice, poppadom, naan bread and chutney. The food was nice and plentiful. There was a bit of a mix-up at the till where we were charged for the normal... More

Good value pub food. Much better than Harvester / Beefeater - it's natural competition. It's not a gastro pub but prices reflect that. Can't fault friendly staff and service. Will definitely go again.

Booked in for xmas lunch at 12.45. Sat down on time. was not served until 1.45. No apology, food was average (at best) people served before us, who had sat down after us. paid £50 per person, was not worth £15. When i asked what the problem was, i was told that it was due to people sitting down too... More

Had family gathering here Christmas Eve. It was pre booked so it was not a last minute turn up for table. There was 9 of us and the majority enjoyed their meals from the fairly large choice menu. The staff were polite and attentive so top marks there. The food is not expensive and neither are the drinks. I had... More

This restaurant situated in an old hotel building adjacent to the Railway Station offers a varied selection of 'pub grub' with the addition of some very well prepared and presented more substantial dishes. I visited on a Sunday and found good value for a traditional Welsh Sunday lunch. I had Welsh lamb which was well cooked served with a selection... More

Been here loads and never had a bad meal and the staff have been lovely and it's always been busy. Tonight our food, which we've had a few times before, wasn't as nice, but not bad enough to send back but there did seem to be a lot of food being sent back. There seems to be a high turnover...
