Amazing roasts selection. Had seconds of roast, which was wonderful. One of the best roasts I have had in ages. Very quick and kind service. Staff pleasant and attentive. Lovely outside seating. Drinks a good price too. Would definitely go again!

A great traditional family bar and restaurant. The food is first class and well priced. The landlord and family were most hospitable and even drove us back to our hotel!. A great way to spend a day,

Haven't been here for over 5 years and wont be rushing back. Could have real potential but it is a real shame. Menu is limited, food not executed very well and menu incoherent. Think target market is the over 70s and it felt like being in a 1970s Torquay Hotel restaurant. If you are expecting a lovely rustic pub then... More

Table of 3 ate Sunday Lunch 26.2.17 & it was the best roast beef we have eaten. The quality was excellent & it was cooked perfectly. Selection of fresh veg included roasted root veg = delicious. Tried the home made honeycombe ice cream which was very moreish. Gary and his staff were attentive as ever. We will be eating Sunday... More

Sorry it's so late! Visited in December for a celebratory evening meal with friends. Having only been for Sunday lunch before (which is always outstanding) I was intrigued to know what the evening menu would be like, the answer 'simply delicious'. We had amazing food, good wine and great fun. Service was friendly, and attentive without feeling like you were... More

Our party of four had a fantastic meal on Valentines Day evening. The service was friendly and the food was excellent. A good choice on the menu and a lovely setting. The best touch was a mini box of chocolates for the ladies. Would definitely recommend.

Not having lived in Woreceter for some years I was looking for somewhere to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday not far from the St John's area and this popped up on the map. I remembered going here years ago as a child when it was renowned for its steaks but had no idea what it was like now. The reviews... More

We regularly visit the TBARS. The pub has a lovely atmosphere. The owners are extremely friendly and of course Princess the cat 😘. Never had a bad meal and ex excellent value for money. This is also a dog friendly pub.
