Ate breakfast here three days in a row and wasn't disappointed. Food was typical of a small town diner and good quality. Sunday breakfast buffet was busy and good value. Old plates and kitchenware on display are an extra treat. Good service.

If you've never been to the area before try a Horseshoe or the smaller Pony for your meal. It's a heart attack on a plate but quite tasty!

When our family camps at the park in New Salem, we always have breakfast here. The food is good, the coffee is great, and a lot of the locals eat here.

The atmosphere for the Sunday Lunch Buffet is an old fashioned/down home feeling with home town/home cooked buffet. How about comfort foods like: southern fried chicken, country ham, roast beef, dressing, gravy, corn, rolls, bread pudding, pie? Try Gillmore's Café now known as Kati's Kitchen. Tip: visit the Illinoi's State Park called New Salem with a log cabin village as... More

Local small town eats and hospitality at it's best. We came in between lunch and dinner and had a great meal. Home made bread, good cheeseburgers, and wonderful service.

Richie has retired and restaurant has been bought by long time waitress, Kerrie, hence the new name. If you're looking for home cooked food, this is the place. Buffet is a little expensive but includes homemade pie for dessert, buffet usually includes broasted chicken and one other main dish selection. Go on Tuesday when the second selection is pork chops.... More

The buffet is not your typical "warmed up" taste it's great fried chicken, very good pork chops, homemade pie, and all the sides you would expect. I go there often!

The place used to be called Gillmore's Cafe however Richie retired and sold it to one of the waitresses there. For the most part the place is still the same. She has even decided to keep a lot of the wall decorations. The menu is roughly the same (though they brought back the giant fried cinnamon roles that I love... More

Friday fish night is very good. It gets very busy on Friday night and Sunday lunch time. Only place in town open for Friday and Saturday evening. Good, would go back

We go here every Sunday after service, and it never disappoints. Their food is always delicious, friendly service, very inviting environment. The best part are their homemade desserts, best coconut pie ever!!
