Excellent menu, when the meals were served they were tasty and well presented. Children were given colours and books so no bored kids . Plenty of outside space to sit and enjoy the magnificent views while enjoying your meal or drink

Very nice welcome on a busy Sunday afternoon. Served quickly. Carvery meal with a choice of 2 meats, 5 veg and gravy for just over £8 each. Nice choice of deserts although we were full after the main course so didn't order any.

I come regularly to the Angel as the quality of food and service is always fantastic. David, the manager is brilliant and so helpful. I am always impressed with the amazing options for vegetarians and vegans, which are always very clearly shown on the menus. It is a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is great value for money

We visited on 4th May and had a delicious three course meal plus cocktails. The starter of bacon, mushrooms in a creamy sauce wth garlic bread was flavoursome, the Thai red curry with either chips/rice or half and half was spicy but enjoyable. Finally, we had the homemade bread and butter pudding with custard which was moist and an indulgent end to... More

The range of food was surprising, choice of chessy mash, chips, boiled potaoes with most dishes, excellent fish of thew day, my wife wanted a difference sauce than the... More

Were told upon arrival that the meal would take 20 minutes to prepare as the restaurant was busy. After having read the reviews we thought no problem, it surely will be well worth the wait. Almost an hour later and just as we were about to give up on ever receiving our meal, it arrived - was it worth the... More

I went here with a big family group. We did have to ask them to turn the music down a bit as the speaker was right next to our table, and they did straightaway. We chose this place as it had a few vegan options (the rest of the family aren't but it's nice to have vegan pub grub available!)... More

Great to live near a pub with so much vegetarian and vegan options. Took my dog too..Landlord is friendly and great atmosphere. Cannot believe that with so many vegan and veggie options that the chips were fried in same oil as prawns etc. I ate them a few hours before my son and was not told but he was. Get... More
