Visited with a friend and I had the seafood platter which consisted of a crab cake (excellent), 3 grilled shrimp (excellent) and 3 small scallops which were nearly cold (not good). I didn't send the food back, but given the $30 price for this item, I expected all the items to be hot. Also had the gumbo as an appetizer... More
This could be the best place for seafood in the entire City of Chicago. You would think that you were on the coast and not in the heart of the U.S. Everything from the lobster bisque to the main dish was toe curling good. The menu is pricey, but the taste backs it up !!! This restaurant was kind enough... More
We had our family Thanksgiving dinner at Shaw's. The King Crab legs were something to be very thankful for this season. There was also beef tenderloin and roasted turkey on the carving table. The horseradish sauce and the cranberry sauce were both exceptional. The side dishes included a crunchy fried shrimp and tasty crab cake along with the usual potato... More
I would not return. I cannot comment on the seafood except to say one companion loved theirs. The recommended entree of roasted vegetables for me was disappointing and I left hungry. The bread was good but overall, I find it's rather pricey. The service was slower than expected. Half of our party were satisfied with their entrees. The other was... More
My hubby and I went to Shaw's for our anniversary. We've heard good things and thought we'd try it. The service was sssslllooooowwww so if you go make sure you have a lot of time. The tables are very close together, we spent 90%of our dinner next to a very loud and obnoxious "ike" (I know everything) and it was... More
I love Shaw's Crab House in Schaumburg by the WoodField mall. The service was good but the food was even butter. I love their summer deals with free maki night and live music from 10:00 to midnight makes going out there a lot of fun. I would go back to Shaw's Crab house for the oyster bar. I can't wait... More
This is one of the best restaurants in Schaumburg. I use it for customer meetings when you need great service and great food. The restaurant is classy and the menu is stellar, albeit pricey. I also take family for special events (birthdays, anniversaries, etc). It's also a great place for romantic dates. All of the seafood and steaks are great!... More
My first time at this restaurant - friend raved about the food, and she was right. We went there for lunch on a Sunday. I had fish tacos that were spicy and delicious. Nice ambience, attentive service. A little higher priced than a usual Sunday lunch outing, but worth it.
