This used to be one of my favorite places. In the past they were known for their Jewish ethnic Delicatessen style cuisine. Generally both the deli counter and the restaurant staff has been very friendly and very helpful. Today not so much. Clearly they have a new manager. Wait staff was rude and too busy to listen. The manager has... More

It was sort of sad to go to the Bagel. This was a once thriving deli in Old Orchard. We went with some friends that were in from Florida. We got there at 6:00 PM, which is prime dinner time and it as just about empty. That did not improve much during our close to 90 minutes there. The service... More

We have dined here twice. Our first experience was good. The food was excellent deli fare with great omelets, great bagels and lox and good service. Our second trip was AWFUL. Reuben sandwich was a pile of fat instead of corned beef. When my wife asked about it the server's response was "Oh, you want lean." Yes. We want lean.... More

Not many authentic Jewish deli's left. Went here for lunch and had an egg white omelette. Pretty decent. On the table was a basket of challah and other rolls. Although decent, the challah was a little hard. Remembered it, as a child, being much softer! A tray of pickles was also on the table. Some looked a little wilted. Table... More

Met a friend for lunch. Good standby spot to met friends; always reliable. Particularly nice if you want to hang with friends in off-hours.

Been here occasionally in the last thirty years.... Not much has changed! Solid Jewish deli food long with some traditional dinner items is about the best you can do on the near North Shore. If you want the real deal, drive downtown to Manny's! We enjoyed the pickles, challah, toasted bagels..... Then had kreplach soup which was top tier but... More

I met a business associate there for lunch today. It is a good place to meet for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, with a complete menu to pick from. Want a pastrami on rye, lox and bagel platter, kosher hot dog, salami and eggs or just a plain tuna or egg salad sandwich? They have it all. Cordial service with plenty... More

Good food, good service albeit a bit slow. I'd love it if they would give you half as much food and charge you half as much.

Meeting family for breakfast, 2 of 4 folks called to say would be late. I asked to seat the 2 of us and we would start eating. Despite the restaurant being half empty, they would not, despite fact my mother is elderly with respiratory problems. The matre d said she could take a stool at the counter. The manger came... More
