It's been a long time,my friend had a craving for Lebanese food and last time I was here it was called Emma's on Liberty,it's now called Emma's snack bar It's become more trendy,if my memory serves me right they had long benches before and more traditional Lebanese food, now the food portions have shrunk to smaller sizes so the name change... Really great casual diner with lovely atmosphere. Their BABA GANOUGE - eggplant roasted on open fire mashed with tahini, garlic and spices is to die for. Everything on the menu is really good, contemporary mezze plates etc and its always full.

Such great food, every dish we had we loved. Halloumi, fried cauliflower, broccoli, lady fingers, lentils and rice, golden cheese balls. It's all amazing. Have it all. Order what you like and then order some more. Best part? It's BYO. See you next time.

Food and service: really very good, all the lebanese starters, tabbouleh, garlic potatoes were great. Fish was great, meatballs and skewers were ok too and the chicken at the end was fine. The place was packed though and there was hardly room to go through the restaurant. Also it seemed very loud inside so you were struggling to listen to... More

This cosy eatery is a family favourite of ours. Restaurant is small with a large communal table down the centre and smaller tables around the edge. Food is always good and all plates are for sharing, favourites are the Ladies Fingers, Shish and Felafel. Emma's is licensed but you can BYO also.

My friends and I have been here about 4 times now and each time Emma's does not disappoint. The food is traditional, fresh and delicious. Just writing this review I'm starting to crave their pumpkin kibbeh. I can not recommend this place more. Don't forget to have their orange blossom tea to finish of your meal. If you can't get... Emma's has good service and very quick meal presentation. It is really designed for couples or groups to share dishes - there is also one long table for communal sharing or a larger group. The vegetarian food was better than the meat dishes (OK Shish kebabs, but plates better and oddly seemingly better quality meat). Liked the Vegetarian dishes Fried... More

We visited 'Emma's' last night & must say we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, service very good & all round a great little eatery in the inner west! The moorish chicken was to die for! Yum!

Delicious hummus and babaganoge were lovely precursors to hearty kebabs which were served quickly together with great cauliflower and broccoli dishes

I had heard great things about this place and the girlfriend was dying to try it. The food was fast to come out and they did give big portions of bread for the dips. The falafel tasted like the kind you get at your average kebab shop and lamb kebabs were every chewy. The Arak prawns are very nice. I... More
