Great food and drinks. My favorites are the iced chai, bacon, egg and cheese croissant. For lunch the ham nd cranberry wrap, soups and salads are good.

This locally owned shop is a great meeting place for breakfast or lunch! Breakfast sandwiches are served on a tasty croissant roll... Most of their luncheon sandwiches can be prepared on bread or as a wrap! My fav is the Chicken Fajita wrap!

My son and I had the opportunity to eat lunch here twice after visiting Loblolly Marsh (in Geneva). We found this place to be delightful! The staff is helpful and friendly; the shop is clean; the food is surprisingly delicious! My son won't let me...stop anywhere else now after our trips to Loblolly.More

Alpine Rose is a wonderful reminder of what small town America once was. Great food, Great people and the hometown folks who visit are warm and welcoming. If you want a reminder of how things should be then a trip to Alpine Rose will be...a treat you will treasure. It is worth the trip to have lunch here, especially with the other small town shops in Berne.More

I visited Berne, Indiana, courtesy of a detour. Driving down Main Street, I noticed a coffee shop and decided to have lunch there. The place is definitely "home-town". In the medium-size dinning area were tables pushed together and some 8 to 10 locals gathering for...coffee and conversation. The walls are lined with coffee-related signage; there are two bookcases: "take a book, leave a book". One orders at the counter and a server brings the food. The place is breakfast and lunch (7:00-4:00).More

The food is delicious. The coffee is so-so. It's served in styrofoam cups with terrible lids. The specialty coffees I've had are very watery. It's great for a quick healthy lunch for sure though! I think changing the styrofoam cups would go a long way....Oh and be careful in the parking lot. It's stone with potholes.More

I had a nice little lunch of a chicken salad sandwich with a dill pickle and potato chips. I observed a couple of groups of people who obviously knew one another well so it seems to be a nice meeting place for folks.

Nice relaxing atmosphere. Friendly service. Their parking lot is usually really full in the mornings on my way to work. Met my sisters and cousin for lunch. Food really good. Service with a smile.

Wonderful coffee shop environment. There is seating inside and outside. Soups change daily so be sure to see what's cooking! I've tried multiple drinks, cold and hot, and they always taste rich and creamy. The food is FANTASTIC for breakfast or lunch. Lunches come with...chips and a pickle. The lunch menu sandwiches mostly come on a croissant or in a wrap. Great for kids, families, friends, and couples.More

We visited this coffee shop in Berne. I've been to other coffee shops that list out types of lattes they make. This one did not. They had about 15 syrups that you could choose from, on the counter. The coffee was ok. The ambience and...decor was excellent, as was the customer service.More

I enjoy eating at places that are one of a kind, and operated by local people, rather than a chain restaurant. This is one of those places. I had a barbecue chicken wrap that was so good! It had fresh veggies, and the two sauces...in it made it a winning combination. This place has a homey feel to it, with games available. It is an inviting, sit and enjoy your friend's company type of place with tasty food. If you are in Berne, try it out!More
