There are hundreds of beers on tap, wonderful drink specials, and the best German food you're going to find in Southern Indiana! I recommend the German fries, kraut balls, and the schnitzel but everything I've ever tried here has been absolutely delicious. It is a bit pricey for some of the dishes, but it's well worth the money!

I am not sure what all the raves are about. The food quality wasn't there and the service was the best part of the meal. I don't recommend it.

I visit here weekly for lunch and I'm never let down. Great place to go and enjoy great food and cold beer for lunch or dinner.

I came here based off of reviews on here. It won't disappoint. Yes it's a little more than your typical blah restaurants but well worth it. The sauerbraten and red cabbage was delicious!! Portion size was big as well with mashed potatoes. Craig was a great and friendly server. Well done and great choice for Evansville.

This is a wonderful, old German restaurant on the west side of town. Sauerbraten is difficult to find, but it's here, and delicious.

Great atmosphere and the waitresses had incredible customer service skills. Good food and I don't like Long island iced tea but theirs is really good! Overall A+ 5 stars.

I went for lunch to Gerst Haus with a collegae. Service was very friendly. I had the Hauptchef's salad which was really nice. You can order is in lunch size or diner size. I opted for the larger diner size, but that was a bit too ambitious. Simply too big. Taste however was nice, crispy fresh, with good dressing.

We went midweek at lunch and Gerst Haus was packed. The boys wanted meat, so this was a great choice for them. I'm not a huge fan of sausages, so I ordered a veggie plate. The red cabbage is stewed in a spiced apple cider and was surprisingly delicious. The Lima beans are served dry (not soupy, like in the... More
