We were able to get right in without a reservation, although the place looked full. Good service. Waiter explained their menu since this was the first time we had visited their place. Menu changes often so it was good to get an explanation of how...More

Fantastic restaurant. Great buzz (particularly during Indy 500 race weekend). Food is fabulous. Agree with earlier review sides dishes too big. This place is pricey but what you get is great quality and don’t forget Indianapolis is landlocked so all the fish is shipped. On...More

Indy is fortunate to have a number of places where one can get really good really fresh seafood, and this is the best of them. A lot of what they offer is flown in daily, and the food taste really fresh and it’s imaginatively prepared....More

My husband loves oysters. That’s the only reason we went there. He enjoyed the oysters and shrimp cocktail. I am not a fan of the sides. They’re expensive. Offer smaller portions at lower prices. Those of us staying in hotels don’t want leftovers. Not sure...More

This will be our new special occasion spot. We went for our anniversary and they printed out special menus for the occasion. We had a private table, but we're still able to enjoy the parade of prom dates. We had a darling woman who stayed...More

Had a nice meal with attentive service and interesting preparations. Slightly overpriced relative to the quality. I must report what I considered to be a petty up charge when I asked that they blacken my tuna instead of the Asian preparation on the menu. Uncalled...More

Took customers to Oceanaire for dinner. The meal was fantastic and the service exceptional. I only wish there were more room to move between tables and at our own table. We had one additional person join and we were hard pressed to make it work....More

Oceanaire is pricey, but worth every penny. The setting is old-school classy, with two levels of dining and an extensive, blue-lit bar. As the name suggests, seafood is the specialty here, with a wide array of fresh-daily catches and a variety of preparations, all served...More

Great seafood if you are in downtown Indianapolis. The waitress was great and provided great service. The restaurant was dimly light. It seemed a good place to go out on a date. The Malbec was excellent. I also ordered crab cakes and it was delicious.

I wore jeans and a nice blouse. There were guests dressed in business attire and casual. I think as as long as you look nice you'll fit right in.
