In town on business so I did my research for great places to eat. When I saw The Tamale Place I realized it had been many years since I had one. Left the house at 6am and headed to Indy, for lunch at the Tamale Place. The 4 hour ride was well worth the trip. The food was excellent and a great value for the price.

They are very organized and get your order very quickly. The tamales are fresh and hot, homemade salsa is very good. We also were lucky enough to get an apple pecan tamale it was very good!

Found this gem of a restaurant from the popular tv show Diners, Drive-in's & Dives. The service is fast and friendly. The food is amazing. The prices.....GREAT A MUST If you're in the area, if you aren't, it's worth the drive.

In town for a conference and wanted to try something different. I had the torte and my friend had the tamale, which are huge compared to what I've seen. Everything was delicious right down to the dessert tamale. The place kept a steady stream of dine in and carry out customers even for the afternoon.

if you like tamales, this place has them in hot, steamy abundance. they are large, stuffed full of perfectly spiced fillings, and tasty in the extreme. by the way, the food is so good here - you'll swear the earth's moved. in fact, it apparently has as the restaurant is now at 5226 rockville road instead of 5242 - the...
