So great to eat at Monica's. Good variety of menu items and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly and welcoming and the food has always been good.

Easy to see how they earned the accolades. Very friendly upon arrival. Kaylyn took care of my table and did very nice job. Nice wine list. Had the house favorite of shrimp and chicken ziti. Be sure and get plenty of house bread to soak...More

I have only been here for lunches. The lunch menu is extensive, and there are daily specials. The food is consistently good, and service is excellent. The manager generally comes to the table to say hello and confirm that the meal and service are good.

I love Monica's! It is definitely on the pricier end of the spectrum ($25 a plate), so I would recommend for a date night, business meeting, or celebration. There are about 100 things I like about this restaurant, but I will try to keep it...More

Our favorite stop in Iowa City but not their usual level of excellence. Soup a little above room temperature. Our two dinner salads excellent. Service good and if you have not been here, you will love the atmosphere. It is located on the north side...More

I ate lunch here today on my way to Des Moines. The tater tot casserole was excellent (if not the most healthy choice) and the service was quick and friendly. I would definitely eat here again

I don't mind paying for a great meal. But only two ounces of beef on the Stroganoff? Delicious but very expensive for those two bites of meat. Very nice restaurant with great food and service. But I do expect a little value for my money...More

They do not serve brunch as best I know. Noon traffic is not heavy on a Sunday, especially if you arrive before 11.

We provide great choices for everyone with our huge menu of over 90 items of American favorites or Italian Specialties, plus more than 4 dozen of them can be made gluten-free. The American menu items are mostly classics from the heartland such as Chicken Pot Pie, Beef Stroganoff, Meatloaf, Jambalaya and sandwiches headlined by a great custom-ground fresh Hamburger made with 3 cuts of Iowa beef for great flavor and juiciness.

The Italian Specialties include such tasty creations as Baked Ziti with Chicken and Shrimp, Lobster with Black Fettucine, Chicken and Spinach Ravioli, Chicken Balsamico, Baked Salmon, and Bruschetta, as well as several Panini's. We also have 10 Big Specialty Salads, many appetizer choices, homemade cupcakes and delectable desserts. We offer a full line of beers and wines, as well as a full bar. You can choose to sit in the room with tv's and a dining room without, as well as out on the patio. Thanks for visiting!
