Ted's Coney Island (of the Mind) consistently provides quick counter service and quality fast food. I love the falafel sandwich, my husband stands by the gyro, and our teen delights in eating a plain hamburger. A steady standby that never misses a beat. Cool 80s Art Deco interior.

You might from the name look for a hot dog joint. Yes dogs are served, but the Greek falafel was excellent. Truly Greek. We did the drive through and pared the false sandwich with a Greek salad. Fantastic.

This place specialized in relatively fast food. Gyros are one of the best items and I highly recommend them here. Greek fries are very interesting and some people love them. Although the name implies that they would have great Coney Island style hot dogs, this is not where I go for those. Get the Greek food instead. Greek salad is... More

Being from Chicago - I miss the neighborhood places with the gyros and hot dogs... but Ted's help ease this longing. Their food is good, quick, and fairly priced. You order at the counter and seat yourself. Nothing fancy, just a good quick meal on the run.

I was starving for dinner and all the restaurants were packed and all the fast food places had long lines. Ted's had no cars in the drive through, so I pulled in. I should have realized there were no cars for a reason. The chili on the coney was one of the nastiest things I have every tried. The fries... More

We love Ted's for gyros. The gyros meat, which is a specially grilled lamb is done just right, not too dry and not too spicy. The sandwich is in a fresh pita which is soft and warm. They add their homemade creamy sauce (with chopped garlic and cucumber, I think) on top and you can have tomatoes and onions on... More

A locally owned place.... again its about expectations. Some great values on a Coney Island style hog dogs, Chicago style hot dogs, lots of other sandwich choices. There lunch baskets include your sandwich - fries - onion rings and coleslaw tis a meal. Not a health food place a working persons place.

I LOVE hot dogs and chili sauce makes them even better. My husband and I were on Ingersoll and dropped into our old spot for a coney. The counter staff was friendly and quick prepared our order. We ordered one coney and one coney basket to share. The basket came with an ample serving of fries (hot and crispy) and... More

Has to be the best gyro I've ever had, and the Chicago dogs are excellent as well. Great fries and onion rings as well. Don't miss it!
