We went to Houlihan's for Happy Hour and left unhappy! Went to the bar - no greeting and waited 9 minutes for a "hello" and "what would you like"!! Not a good way to start. We left after our drink and decided to go somewhere else for dinner.

Houlihan's is known for their bacon and egg breakfasts. Dinner is more like a burger joint as is the ambience.

Food pretty decent for a chain. Fun place both at the tables or getting service at the bar. The staff, very nice.

After poor seating location, when noted there was a handicap person, it took forever to get served, and then tried to push us out the door. Rude, inefficient and incompetent come to mind. We won't be back.

Had dinner with family. Service was poor. Found a hair in meal! We were told the "happy hour" beer was $2.00 a beer. Charged $4.00 on bill.

Went to dinner with my boss. I had the pot roadt sliders, 3 came with the order. They were very good with good flavor. I thought for $11, it could have come with a side. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup. It was ok, all dark meat chicken. The server was great, attentive and courteous. It's been years since I've... More

Good service, tasty food, and great atmosphere. Stopped in for supper - although very busy, we were seated quickly and our meals didn't take long at all. Good place!

Had a great dinner for our last night in Dubuque. Tyler very attentive and made tasty suggestions. We had the huge stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and all of us loved them. I had fish and chips. The fish was lightly breaded and very tasty. There is a big variety of food and the dress is casual.

Forget 'casual dining.' That's an industry term so out of touch with how consumers eat and drink today. For premium quality and style; fare that's at times familiar and other times adventurous and a laid-back modern setting, Houlihan's is a true original.
