The owner at Redstone Inn, where we stayed, recommended Pepper Sprout when we asked about restaurants serving locally-sourced food. We had a veggie-pasta and a 'shanky', pork shank with sauerkraut and other veggies. Both dishes were very good, and we had enough of the shanky...More

Service is always excellent! Steaks are always cooked to perfection. Lots of garlic and red onions involved in the cooking. Love the mashed potatoes. The drinks and the wine parings are perfect.

Delicious food, and great service. An unexpected foodie location in Dubuque. Seasonal menus, and a good wine list. It's a narrow space, so it feels cozy. Really a nice experience for my wife and I.

We had tried Pepper Sprout before and were less than impressed. They do have a seasonal menu so we thought we could try again. I think the chefs pallet is sweeter than I like. My husband had the Rabbit Cacciatore with a generous helping of...More
