I stopped to pick up a couple of scones and they were terrific-the best in town. At other times I've tried the sandwiches and oven-baked pizza. They were excellent, too.

I find this place has among the best atmospheres in this area. The librarian seems to sort out books so that it is easy to find a book you might be looking for.

Wood fired pizza is their speciality, but the espresso bar is one of the best. Soups, teas, coffees, sandwiches, and books, lots and lots of books. Multi leveled for privacy. Very laid back place to dine with great food and great people.

On a trip to Fairfield, Iowa we stopped by Revelations Cafe and other places. Each has its own vibe, with Revelations Cafe being a true Bricks & Mortar bookstore, cafe and more. We enjoyed what we ate and drank there and would return again when our local friends ask us to meet them there. It felt good being there!

Revelations has a good selection of vegan and vegetarian meal options, and I think their coffee is the best in town! (I get a soy latte, almost every day). Current vegan favorites: pizza with lots of veggies (and no cheese), veggie BLT, Rev's salad, and some of the daily soups. The ambiance is very sweet -- its the kind of... More

10, even 5 years ago, Revelations was a must-eat spot for travelers and locals alike. Since then the quality of the food has gone down (cheaper toppings on the pizzas, no more fresh crusts, etc.) and the staff are so unfriendly, it makes you feel like they're doing you a favor by taking your order and your money. This used... More

Revelations or the "Rev" as some locals call it, is a great place to meet up for a visit with friends. Located near the town square, it's a popular gathering spot. They also sell used books and a few new ones, so the walls are lined with bookshelves. There are usually a few folks hunkered down with their computers or... More

Best oven roasted pizza and fresh salads! And the daily specials are always a great choice! The art is good and they have a terrific book selection. Great coffee and chai too!

While on business, I grabbed lunch with some colleagues at this restaurant. It had a very "Seattle" feel to it, best described as trendy/hipster. The menu was basic and the sandwich I ordered was ok. Nice atmosphere, good for conversations.

Central meeting place, just off the town square. Nice food. Nice people. Mostly organic dishes. Worth a visit.
