If your hungry this will do. The decor is great so that makes up for the subpar service. The ice cream is good. Everything is a bit pricey but kinda what you expect being right off the interstate.

Stopped here for lunch on our trip home. Ordered a tenderloin sandwich. I think the cook thought the sandwich should be really, completely, thoroughly cooked, because it was definitely well done. The cheese curds were OK. My son said his chicken sandwich was good. Was an OK experience, but definitely think they can improve.

Not outstanding either. The service was alright but sparse. I asked if the barbecue chicken sandwich was grilled or fried. I was told it was grilled and I responded that's what I want. I received the grilled chicken sandwich and not the barbecue chicken sandwich.

I just ordered two made rights within the last hour at the Lamoni Iowa store. They were horrible exclamation point I ordered them with jalapenos and apparently they did not have any jalapenos but do you think that they would come ask me if maybe I wanted something else? No, they just brought the sandwiches to my table and explained... More

I'm very disappointed that you didn't have a good experience at Maid Rite. It's true that we are in transition with a new menu, but we should have Jalapeno peppers on hand. We have three new specialty Maid-Rites being introduced and one of them is a Jalapeno and cheese Maid Rite. Sorry about your experience and I hope you consider... More

We found this MR completely by accident several years ago (we'd never heard of loose meat), LOVED it and, when traveling the same route last week, decided to stop again. Still one of the most interesting un-burgers we've ever had. Tried the bacon-cheese MR this time and it was killer! Loose meat (don't ask, just Do It!) dripping with cheese... More

Enjoyed 2 for 1 shakes, chocolate and strawberry - inexpensive dinner and special treat right off the interstate. Clean restrooms and country atmosphere. Really appreciated their efficiency and sale prices.

Great atmosphere and cute adjacent shop - kind of like a Cracker Barrel. Also, the 1/2 priced shakes after 5:00 is a great deal! My husband and I can get two meals and shakes for under $20. It is true what one reviewer said - the food is not Amish themed (though I think this comes from a simple misunderstanding... More

Wonderful quaint country store with an attached Maid rite. The loose meat sandwich was to die for. The college kids who worked there we wonderful! They made us feel at home and were interested in where we came from and where we were going. Loved the sandwich!
