Nice restaurant to dine in!

Nice restaurant to dine in! Loved their hot chocolate (you can ask for less sweet as it comes with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle) and must order is the Teh Tarik! Absolute favourite too.. (tip: try asking for Masidi Teh Tarik, it’s special with cinnamon) Food was yummy. I enjoyed my big bowl of Tom yam seafood soup with white rice - comfort food for a chilly night! Dwinah and team were very attentive and friendly. Recommended!

Great ambience

Food was good, prices reasonable, service good but ambience was unbeatable. Try the beef burger (avoid the chicken version) and the local dishes - the curry laksa was delicious and the mee goreng was also good. Because of the cool weather it seems like the perfect place for hot chocolate, but it turned out their hot Milo and Horlicks was better.

Quaint restaurant

Breakfast is the same most days - Fried noodles. Nasi lemak, beef soup noodles etc. food quality is average. The restaurant is clean and the service is good. Lunch is expensive for the portion is small. You don’t have a choice as go anywhere else unless you drive out of the resort.

First time dining in Liwagu Restaurant

First time dining at the Liwagu Restaurant. The layout of the dining area is well decorated and spacious. Light music playing in the background which adds to the nice dining experience. The price slightly pricy but decent for the food and ambience. For food we had a mix of asian and western cuisine both of which is delightful to us. The service at the restaurant was profesional and responsive. Overall a good experience.

Great spot to have dinner! Conveniently accessible from a nearby stay within a walking distance 5mins with a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids (4 yo/6 yo). Love the Liwagy fried rice and salmon! Cooling ambient while having your dine!

Unbeatable ambiance and decor in a beautiful mountain setting

I was pleasantly surprised by the upmarket ambience and quality of the food in this restaurant. The service was friendly and accommodating. After dinner, we played board games in the lounge area, while drinking hot Milo from the restaurant. Recommended!

Nice ambience, good food

Located within Kinabalu national park. Has long opening hours. A few steps walk from the hill lodges. Nice ambience with a ncie fireplace, the verandah a bit chilly but lovely green surroundings. Food was well presented and of fairly good taste. Good place to relax

Dinner at the park!

We had dinner at Ligawa while staying at the guesthouse at national park headquarters. The dinner buffet was far better than I expected. Lots of good tasty choices and friendly staff.

We had lunch here as part of a tour from Kota Kinabalu to the National Park. It was a buffet meal, the restaurant was full and the queues were long. The food was nothing special.

Good breakfast

We had our American breakfast here this morning. Good portion but I must say the meat was a bit greasy. Nice ambiance and super clean toilet. Will visit again when in Kundasang.

First Time Stay

This is our first time stay in Kinabalu Park. Love everything here. Did not have dinner at Liwagu Restaurant. Only Waffle with Ice Cream, Tropical fruits and French Fries. Lovely ambience
