Our party had a mixed reaction to this little BBQ place in Coffeyville. Some loved the chicken wraps for lunch. Some thought the fried chicken on their dinner a little greasy. Typical reaction when we travel with several people. We ate on the little patio...because the dining room is closed right now. Probably not their best aspect. Lots of pick-up orders came through the drive-through while we were there. I would go back.More

Visited a couple of years ago and it was great. Not really anymore. Food is decent BBQ. Portions have gotten smaller for the price. Quality just not what it use to be. Taste is standard and sauce is pretty tasty. We probably won't return.

Fantastic barbeque and some of the very best potatoes soup I've ever had (free with meal dine-in). If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault! LOL!

Cold food, overpriced, flies that die when they land on your table and the waitress thought nothing of it ... won’t make that mistake again!

We travel to KSCY quite often so we’re always looking for different places to eat. Checking TripAdvisor we saw this was a 5 for 5 stars for BBQ. We love BBQ. Unfortunately this wasn’t the type of BBQ ( if you could call this BBQ)...we were used to. It certainly looked like a BBQ place. We should have had some clue when we didn’t see any smoker, no wood, didn’t smell any wood smoke, and when we went inside there were no bbq bottles on the tables, paper towels, salt and pepper but no sauce bottles. But we didn’t. They had a lot of meats and probably 3 times as many sides as a regular BBQ. place. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich combo (drink and a side ) with roasted brussel sprouts and my husband ordered the chopped beef brisket sandwich with onion rings. They had a cold bar with the usual, onions, peppers, dill pickle slices. Plus that is where all the sauces were, 4 different flavors, sweet, original, hot, and Carolina. They also had a homemade soup which was free with a dine in purchase. I tried the soup and it was ok, it had potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, celery and sausage in a watery broth. It had no seasoning in it that I could tell, very bland. When our orders came I was surprised as the meat ( it wasn’t BBQ so I’m going to call it meat) was not on the buns but in a small cup, like what salsa comes in in a Mexican restaurant only a little larger. No sauce or seasoning on the meat. No smoke or wood smell, basically I had regular cooked food pork roast and my husband had beef brisket. The buns were toasted and small. The roasted brussel sprouts were good, no seasoning. The onion rings were from frozen and had no onion taste. All in all, I wish I had read the reviews on this place. They were all at least 2 years old and older, checked yelp (after we ate) reviews we gave 2 1/2 stars. Guess where I’ll look next time. So partly my fault for not reading the reviews ( and using TA instead of Yelp) snd for TA not advising of old reviews. Don’t know if place has new owners or what happened but will not recommend it as a BBQ place. Service was friendly and fast.More

Rick & Carol Phelps have been serving great food in Coffeyville since I don't know when. "Hog Heaven" is not only tasty, but one can get "in and out" as quickly as they would like. A favorite of local lunch time folks.

We ordered the smoked pepper-jack bacon cheese burger, fried chicken (the special - two piece dark), the Lil Pig (shredded pork, bologna, spicy sausage), and pulled pork sandwich and various sides: french fries, sweet potato fries, sweet german slaw, corn on cob, and mashed potatoes...and white gravy. It was all great! The best was the burger and battered French fries. It was a tie between the fried chicken and pulled pork sandwich. The Lil Pig was just a bit spicy for our tastes, but still good! The air conditioner felt nice and the atmosphere and wait staff were fine. As we discuss our lunch, we keep commenting on the deliciousness of the pepper jack burger. It was juicy, beefy, and flavorful. The battered french fries were scrumptious!More

We stopped by for lunch on Memorial Day. They had a buffet outside and outside seating for customers. We ordered off the regular menu, my husband and I shared the managers special 4 meats and 2 sides for $16.99. It was very good and we...still had leftovers. The only thing that I would have changed is they need to add a baby changing station in the women's bathroom.More

I wasworking in Coffeyvillethe other day. So, at noon I walked across the street to this BBQ place Phelps Hog Heaven. It's heaven alright if you like BBQ! Nothing fancy except great smells, delicious BBQ, and great friendly folks working to make sure your meal...is enjoyable. I triedalunch special which was a nice large pulled pig sandwich, generous amount of great fries and a large drink. All was very delicious but the pig was the star, moist, tenders smoky bits from, well, heaven. Lol. The sauces make it, too. Three, count em 3: an Original, a Sweet one, and especially good on the pork a Carolina Mustard type. MMMMMmmmm good. Can't wait to go back next week and try another of their many choices.More
