We waited in line for over an hour and not one of us was sorry for it. Amazing! Kansas City Barbeque at its finest! The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and the Z-Man was a surprising treat, but the ribs were awesome too! Do not...More

I have been to this restaurant several years ago when it was Oklahoma Joe's. while the name has changed the food is just as good. I really like their sides. The dirty rice the spicy slaw and the red beans are among my favorites. I...More

Great food. Between the Zman and the pull pork sandwich, it was an amazing deal and meal. Even bought the sauce to use at home 😬

Had Jack's and had Q39. Joe's beats them all. The place is so quirky from an atmosphere - being an operating gas station and restaurant. You order and pay then find a table. Was fun. Got to talk to many folks in line, part of...More

Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que was worth the trip to Kansas City alone. Delicious food, generous portions, enthusiastic service.

I will probably be ousted from Kansas City but I felt Joe's was not as great as I was anticipating. I know people travel for miles for this place but I just didn't think it was good . But to each their own. BBQ is...More

Good things come to those who wait. Yes there's a wait. I'll just say that up front. You're going to wait in line. And when you're done waiting in line you're going to eat some of the finest BBQ you've ever had. My main regret...More

Despite the claustrophobia of the seating, the sandwiches were perfection. We loved the Z-man and the pulled pork. The spicy slaw and the pickles were perfection and enhanced both sandwiches. I highly recommend that. One side was enough for both sandwiches with a little left...More

What are the gluten-free options within the menu? Is it also good for people who suffer celiac disease? meaning there can't be any cross contamination

I honestly do not know about the disease so cannot offer an answer. Yes, there are gluten free options on the menu.

I don't believe so. The restaurant was built from an old gas station that is still in operation. It is close quarters inside and no outside seating that we saw. Of course we were there in October.

Does a line form before the restaurant opens in the morning? How early do patrons tend to arrive?

I went around 1:30 in the afternoon and waited about 30 minutes, starting outdoors. Sorry, I don't know about the lines when they open. It is worth waiting at any time.
