As far as bakeries go, Wheatfields is on par with Panera. But it does have a very local feel that sets it apart from chain bakeries. The breads are very good, and they have quite a variety of sandwich options. I really try to watch my carb intake, so I don't eat a lot of breads, but the few times... More

Seriously, everything on the menu is good. Some stars in particular are the salad, scones, soups, fried chicken (Wed. eves only--get there early!) and their biscuits & gravy. And their bread is incredible. Great place for any meal.

The bakery offers varieties of crusty European-style bread baked in a brick, wood-fired oven, matched by elegant desserts. The cafe has excellent sandwiches and salads with daily specials. Even though the service is fast--you submit your order at the counter--it is always packed lunchtime, so get their before noon for lunch. No special dinner menu, so there is always room... More

The worst part of eating at Wheatfields is decided what to eat. Every time I wrestle with whether to get the three cheese grilled cheese sandwich or the roasted turkey sandwich with a cranberry spread. All the breads are wonderful, and you can substitute any bread you like for the sandwich you order. I always walk out with a loaf... More

This restaurant has many kinds of fresh bread - I'd like to try all of them. I brought home a mini baguette and a walnut danish and they were delicious. Previously I have had sandwich which was very good also.

The food here speaks for itself. The place was packed and one had to wait in line to place the order and then by the time you was able to get a seat your food was arriving for you. Outside of the wait it was a great time checking out the place. By the way the freshly baked bread was... More

Wheat fields is a place to go for any meal. You can always tell if a restaurant is good by the line of people waiting to eat. Waiting here is okay because you need a little time to take in the ever changing good items on the menu. Try one of their soups.
