This at first glance looked like an inviting place to stop for a burger. We pulled in between 1:30-2:00pm after a drive coming back from KC...well past the noon rush. We placed our order for burgers & fries...nothing unusual about that. Went to use the restroom and noticed an over abundance of mud & dirt on the floors along the... More

We came for a late supper after a day of traveling. The diner is open 24 hours a day. I ordered chicken fried steak. It was tender and tasty. My husband ordered a salad with broiled chicken. He said it was the most tender chicken pieces he's ever had on a salad like this. The young man serving us was... More

Had a very tasty breakfast at this quaint diner. Fun to sit and "study" the walls. Food was good, hot, fresh, and tasty.

Beautiful, shiny, diner car. The food was good but the atmosphere was wonderful. Burgers & Fries with a Coke, who could beat that in the perfect setting!

Staying at the motel next door, it was a no-brainer that we would walk across the parking lot for supper. This is a cool retro 50's diner complete with the 50's tunes. We enjoyed a good burger and a very filling and complete club sandwich. Salad dressings are home made and very good. I recommend this place for an easy... More

Terrible slow service. Terrible food. Will never go back. Poor management and doing construction while we were there. Feel sorry for the single woman working in there.

The choices here are really vast, and the prices about the same as in town. The food was really good. We had the Big Scramble with hash browns, and because we're gluten-free, they gave us more hash browns instead of toast. I was disappointed that they no longer carry green chile, but the service was great. Expect to spend the... More

After reading reviews, we were not expecting a great experience. However, as it was Memorial Day, we came to Penny's since the other restaurants were closed. This was a great breakfast. Lots of great food, pleasant and competent wait staff. I would definitely recommend this diner. Now if you are looking for French cuisine, move on. This is great solid... More

We were excited to try this "diner" on the way across Route 36. However, when we ate lunch it appeared that the place had been neglected as far as staffing and stocking and maintenance. They were out of a lot of menu items and several pieces of restaurant equipment were literally broken. Only one person was there at noon and... More

I have eaten at many Penny's Diners when I travel out West and most have been excellent. The dinner at this was was not as good as I have come to expect. Selections were limited at dinner (3 sandwich choices, 4 dinners and a couple of "hearty and healthy" options including a buffalo cheeseburger), prices were higher than expected, and... More
