Russell's is a family dining tradition in Salina. It has been at least 20 years since the last time I dined here. While passing through Salina recently, we talked about our fond memories of dining at Russell's, so we drove a little off route home to dine once again at Russells. This is a good restaurant for dining with family... More

If you are traveling north or south on Interstate 135 in Central Kansas near Salina,, Russell's Restaurant at exit 92 is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner or anytime as they are open 24 hours a day. Down home, middle American food served quickly and efficiently. The location is just east off the Interstate behind a service station... More

Been a customer since the late 70s.....always a good place to go after the bars back then. Things haven't changed much over the years....including the interior! LOL. Breakfast is the best! Still wanting to go back to the chicken fried steaks and try them again. Used to be served on one plate and sides on another. Will do that soon,... More

After driving 9 hours from Minnesota all we wanted was a good meal and some sleep. A cashier at a local gas station suggested Russell's Family Restaurant. Not knowing what to order, I asked a senior customer sitting in a comfortable booth, who said she's been coming here since she was young. Everything is wonderful! This diner has wonderful home... This is a good family restaurant not far from I-70. The country fried steak was recommended by our hotel, so I had the sandwich version, which was plenty of food, and it comes on a nice toasted bun with lettuce and tomato on the side and your choice of a side dish. I had the whipped potatoes with cream gravy,... More

The clerk at the hotel we were staying told us about this restaurant. We stopped in for some pie. The restaurant looked just as I picture a midwest diner. With a counter and booths and tables. The peach pie was delicious. I will stop for a meal next time I drive thru.

Chicken fried steak was really good! Pancakes, hash browns and bacon yummy! Service was very friendly and we got two pies ( that looked amazing) to go! If you are only going to eat one meal a day this is your place! The portions are huge!! Nothing low cal here, but we don't eat like this everyday!

This restaurant is known for good good and homemade pies. The breakfasts are served at all hours and are huge, good eating. Thursday's are "all you can eat" fried chicken and it is delicious. The owner is always friendly and jokes with all his customers. A delicious respite for travelers or locals.
