Visiting from out of town and family likes Italian. Stopped in during week for a late lunch. We each ordered a pasta and I had a salad as well. Food was fine, just nothing that wowed us. Although there were only a few folks in the place, service seemed rushed and a little frosty. I got the feeling we were... More

Great home-style Italian food at this unassuming family restaurant in Salina with fresh ingredients, great sauce, and friendly service! Worth the trip if you're out that way, and probably one of the better eateries in the area.

The only reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is because of the lettuce and tomato salad. The lettuce was limp and soggy while the one tomato was hard as a rock. I had the meat ravioli and it was decent. The family had meatballs which they loved and the portions were huge so plan on sharing.

My wife's family is obsessed with the Chopped Salad, so that is what we normally end up with. It is very good and the dressing is unique. The rest of the menu is pretty standard run-of-the-mill Italian fare. Nothing spectacular but always at least decent. The cinnamon ice cream is pretty dang good though.

For a small town in Kansas, this restaurant is sure to exceed all expectations! The portions are great for eating family style. The salads are big. The cheese manicotti is a pasta lover's dream. The lemon chicken with capers is awesome. Don't miss the homemade desserts and fresh hot bread! Buon apetito!

Fabulous Italian food and the best wait staff you will find anywhere. Not your typical chain restaurant food. Friendly atmosphere and even great music. Portions can be huge so make sure to order the quarter portion or be willing to split your plate with someone.

Prices have gone up and serving sizes have gone down. Its not bad Italian food, just other places in town are better for the price.

This family style service was great! The food was some of the best we have had in a long time and the portions...we ate for 2 days. There was even a little horse and buggy tour outside the window that the kids loved. We are going to be visiting this place again!

My in laws live in Salina. We visit there about 4-6 times a year. We make sure at least one visit is to Martinelli's. Get there early this place is always packed. The chicken parmesan is amazing and the service is always wonderful too.
