Very disappointed. Reviews did not live up to its billing. Blueberry cobler was good. High priced for quality of food.

Hotel was very historic. The breakfast that was included with the room was fantastic & it came out within minutes. Everyone got the same plate any time between 9-10. Our room was right over the bar & the music was loud, but didn't bother us a bit; when we were tired, we went up to our room & still enjoyed... More

It being Easter Sunday meant not to much was going to be open but we passed this place the day before and really liked the look of the place, we didn't have reservations but they were able to seat us, this place has so much character and lots of history, the food was delicious I particularly like the broccoli salad... It was very difficult to choose what to have for lunch. Hot Brown, Shrimp and Grits, Fried Catfish, Pot Roast? My husband chose the Pot Roast and I had the Shrimp and Grits. As a pot roast aficionado, my husband was a little disappointed that the beef was rather chewy, but he did enjoy the flavors. The shrimp and grits... More

Meatballs were great. Chicken friend steak was very good. I was avoiding bread that day and got the vegetable plate with Wild rice and Boursin cheese. It was superb.

Great history but food was sub-par. Go have a drink and check out the upstairs but no reason to stay for dinner.

Stopped in mid-week around 11:30 for an early lunch. Several employees were feet away and nobody said hello, go away, or can I help you to any of the 3 different groups that were standing in the reception area waiting to give them our business. This went on for 10 mins. when my companion and I decided that this establishment... More

I went to the Old Talbott Tavern for dinner my first night as it was next to the B&B. It was cute inside. The gal at the desk where I checked in for a table almost seemed annoyed, so not overly friendly or welcoming. Service in the dining area was ok. I ordered the gnocchi and it was just ok,... More

We stayed at the Old Talbott Tavern and, after checking other local restaurants, and decided to eat at the Tavern. It was the perfect decision. We had delicious, food and great service all in the old Tavern setting.

My husband and I drove to Bardstown this afternoon for lunch at Old Talbots's Tavern. It was busy and the young lady that was taking names and seating people didn't seem very organized. In fact, there were people who came in after us who left because of the disorganization. Once she decided to start a list of names things went... More
