We got off Interstate 75 for gas and debated where to eat when my husband saw this new restaurant and suggested we try it. It looked like a mom and pop place and we love to try new things....but we were also pressed for time. We were so pleasantly surprised to see that they are a bakery and cafe! although... More

Stopped by Beans as a result of reviews read online after our visit to the Ark Encounter nearby. This was a very pleasant place. Kind servers, eager to help. The food ( Brunch ) was creative and well prepared. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. A very nice stop.

We visited Beans after a trip to the Ark Encounter where we picked up their brochure. The debit/card machine was down which was the only negative because we didn't have enough cash with us to try everything that we wanted. Our server was nice enough to combo (drink, chips, & 3 Bean Bites) two of our meals for us because... More

Arriving from a long trip from Atlanta and getting settled in at the Hampton Inn we asked the desk clerk for a suggestion for a light dinner. She suggested "Beans". Beans owned by Richard Hayhoe , has been in business for 5 years. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing time but were welcomed in by Sarah the server. She... More

I've been there twice, once in the old location, once in the new one. Very friendly staff, and good food and coffee.

When we travel, we don't want to eat what we can get at home. So we pull out our trusty TripAdvisor app and search. Beans was where we landed and we were more than pleased! The folks inside warmly greeted us, made some recommendations, and got our food to us quickly. We split the club sandwich, which was the best... More

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Food was enjoyable and reasonably priced. We had lunch. The ingredients were fresh and the breads homemade.

Stopped for dinner after a visit to the Ark. Our group enjoyed the sandwiches- the Cuban, philly Swiss and roast beef with blue cheese. My mom had the pecan chicken salad with dried cranberries, mandarin oranges, blue cheese, pecans- yummy! Then for dessert we had a maple nut donut, choc chip cookie, caramel milkshake and cherry cordial ice cream. The... More

Nothing fancy but good food, and you are filled up when you are finished. Very reasonably priced, very friendly people working there, especially the Manager. Lots of sandwiches and soups and also baked goods. Patio too for the warmer weather. Glad we stopped!

While traveling from Lexington to Cincinnati, we happened upon Beans for lunch. Wow! The sandwiches were incredible (Bacon Cheddar, Salmon avocado, and a Cuban). We then indulged in donuts which were awesome! Don't miss the maple bacon donut. We left wishing that there was a Beans Cafe and Bakery in Birmingham, AL!!
