I've been coming to the Old Stone Farmhouse annually for many years. This used to be my favorite restaurant on the island. A few years ago the restaurant narrowed its menu and from that point onward things gradually started to slip. It seems like management...More

The restaurant itself is very unique but it is a very eclectic menu. Even a varied eater would have trouble here. Plus there is no AC, only fans and open windows. Not pleasurable to sweat in your food!

We had our last dinner at this beautiful restaurant. It is an old sugar plantation house and it is stunning. The food was the best of our trip. Our waiter, Aaron was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. I had a special snapper entree and my husband...More

This is a place like no other. Where Elegant dining, meets island casual, in an absolutely beautiful setting. The food is very upscale and tasted absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the Dark Rum Braised Oxtail and pappardelle pasta appetizer. If they had it as a...More

You don't find "elegant" on a Caribbean island. This is just an outstanding restaurant in an very nice setting and I'd call it elegant. No ocean views, beach fronts or rum runners. This is a white table cloth restaurant in a very flip flop and...More

The service was excellent. The new chef from Charleston, SC came out & met us (we are from SC) and discussed what he hopes to achieve. The food & wine selections were very good.

Nice Casual - no beachwear. Many men wearing shorts and collared golf-type shirts. Women in dresses. Call to be sure.
Hi Tuffy, We'll be in St. Thomas in early September and I read your review of the Old Stone Farmhouse restaurant. Being recent, do you remember if it was wheelchair accessible? Thanks so much! Lisa

I don't think so, though there may be a back entrance. I'm sure they would respond to an e-mail question from you.

The Old Stone Farmhouse is an award winning, fine dining restaurant. Set in a wooded valley close to the 11th hole of the Mahogany Run Golf Course, this restaurant is located in a 200 year old restored field house on the lush countryside of St. Thomas. It was created as a stable for a nearby Danish sugar plantation, and the walls are more than 2 feet thick. Ceiling fans and breezes blowing through the valley keep the place cool. The building's distinctive character is shown with native stone walls, original hardwood floors, brick arches, and a charming covered palm-lined courtyard. The restaurant features "Chef Inspired" fine dining in an intimate and elegant atmosphere. The cuisine is ingredient driven and will change with each season. The Old Stone Farmhouse is one of the most romantic and elegant dinner settings anywhere, offering old-world charm and a second-to-none dining experience. Personalized attention makes dining here a delight.
