A local contact recommended this restaurant as one of the best on the island. Recent reviews made us concerned. Our Concierge did not recommend. Location is out of the way. The building is charming but run down. We had nothing but trouble. The mahi on the menu--they were out and were substituting local grouper. The grouper was ordered--then they were... More

To sum up our experience here, this restaurant is like a hot lady you take out on a date but when you actually get into the night you realize there isn't much depth there. This restaurant is romantical, has a unique ambiance for the island (see my pics), and has set itself up to be in the classification of upscale... More

Very old world charm. Loved the covered open air elegant dining. Pretty impressive wine selection. Fish specials were some of the best we've ever had. A truly memorable night with friends and family.

Such a fun and romantic place to go. Good for couples or families. Menu is very unique, but has some standard fare as well. All of it is very good and the atmosphere was wonderful.

This place is a ROYAL ripoff. Highly expensive, extremely small, unseasoned, bland servings!!! Waiters served our bottled water to other guests and charged us full price. Also, a 20% gratuity tax was mandatory as it was automatically added to the bill.

It's a bit of a drive from most hotels but well worth it. Housed in an old stone farmhouse (?!) with big thick open walls. Sit at the bar and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail. The bartender (Michael) is knowledgeable and friendly. Dinner offered many tasty options. Service was helpful and informative. The lamb chops were superb. The wine list is... More

A relatively new chef has stabilized the kitchen and, once again, this restaurant is offering an interesting menu with food of consistently high quality. On a recent visit, an amuse Boucher of watermelon soup began the evening. The crudo and scallop appetizers were highly praised; also the papardelle and Pork cheeks entrees. There is home-made icecream, light bread pudding and... More

We have been vacationing in St. Thomas and St. John for years but this was the first visit that we tried Old Stone Farmhouse. We've been to almost all of the well-regarded restaurants on St. Thomas and St. John. Venue is beautiful and service was professional. Food was good but not great. Our problem is that they charge for bread.... More

If you're looking for the most romantic restaurant on St. Thomas Old Stone Farmhouse is the place to dine. It dates back 200 years when it was originally built as a stable for a nearby sugar mill. The walls are 2 feet thick and made out of stone. There are fans all over and it's an open air restaurant. The... More

The restaurant was really friendly and could accommodated a large group. (16). The were well organized and super friendly. In the reviews I read prior to making our trip I was a little concerned about the pricing. After the dining experience I have to say I did not have a problem with the bill. In any great restaurant you expect... More

The Old Stone Farmhouse is an award winning, fine dining restaurant. Set in a wooded valley close to the 11th hole of the Mahogany Run Golf Course, this restaurant is located in a 200 year old restored field house on the lush countryside of St. Thomas. It was created as a stable for a nearby Danish sugar plantation, and the walls are more than 2 feet thick. Ceiling fans and breezes blowing through the valley keep the place cool. The building's distinctive character is shown with native stone walls, original hardwood floors, brick arches, and a charming covered palm-lined courtyard. The restaurant features "Chef Inspired" fine dining in an intimate and elegant atmosphere. The cuisine is ingredient driven and will change with each season. The Old Stone Farmhouse is one of the most romantic and elegant dinner settings anywhere, offering old-world charm and a second-to-none dining experience. Personalized attention makes dining here a delight.
