I hate to write this as I've always had a lovely meal but went there yesterday and I can't beleive how it has gone down hill, the staff were not as friendly and the carvery was not hot at all and we were in early and had wait ages for our desserts and that's not the first time.

We arrived as a pre booked party of 20. Everything went to plan. Food on time and beautifully cooked. Very efficient, pleasant surroundings and an enjoyable afternoon. Price with carvery, dessert and drinks came to about £20 each. Excellent value.

The cavary is excellent, good choice with a good selection of vegetable cooked well. The staff are very efficient and friendly. The ambience is a little canteen like, but the food makes up for it.

For a Sunday lunch, book ahead because it's very popular and very busy. The food is very good but not outstanding. The staff are great and attentive. Fairly pricey but overall, worth the visit !

We were taken here when visiting Bury St Edmunds as the carvery night on Monday is good value. Unfortunately we both found the food quite bland and fell short of some of the carveries we have enjoyed. Two carveries for £10 is good value but the food wasn't brilliant

What can I say? We've eaten here on numerous occasions, both at busy and quieter times, always having the delicious carvery and we've never been dissapointed. The staff are lovely and friendly, the food always tastes wonderful. We've brought other members of the family who also now come with their friends. A lovely place to be.

We have eaten at least four or five times a year at the Bunbury Arms on numerous occasions over the last twenty years. The food and service has always been consistently good. On this occasion we booked a table for four in advance, yet when we arrived did not receive the expected welcome from the barman. In fact we were... More

Needed food, so as we were passing by decided to stop rather than going on to a fast food place such as Little Chef. We were pleasantly surprised at the lunchtime carvery, good meats and lots of good potatoes / vegetables / accompaniments. Also the sweets we had were good. We thought the meals we had were very good value... More

Had sunday lunch here with my family. Very average carvery with the usual frozen roast potatoes which I never understand. However the staff were polite, attentive and very hardworking and not too expensive apart from the drinks (half a cider, half a lager and a slimline tonic £12.00) ow!
