My friends and I visited this restaurant at the end of April, during Rolex weekend. This restaurant bills itself as a fine dining winery. There were 8 of us for dinner at 7:00 pm. Our waitress took our orders and served us a sausage appetizer and drinks. The appetizer was tasty and our bourbon tasting was fine. Then the problems... More

Their "medium" steaks are burnt and leaves charcoal at the back of your throat. This place is not "fine dining" by any stretch of the imagination. The "waiters" dress in untucked country shirts and jeans. The "seaters" are knuckleheads who are rude. The seating is cramped and without cushions.

1. The "servers" wear untucked shirts and jeans - looks like they just arrived all decked out from Goodwill. 2. The "seaters" talk rudely - looks like they picked them up from the unemployment lines. 3. The "ambience" suck - cramped spaces, hard chairs without cushion. 4. The "steaks" are burnt - their idea of "medium" is burnt and rubbery.... More

PEACEFUL!! Delicious! Unique! Welcoming! First year away from family on a holiday and this place made me feel so peaceful! The cherry smoked manhattans were the beginning! The goat cheese and homemade spicy Italian sausage AND homemade crackers!? (Mouth watering) definitely recommend the the wine tasting flights before dinner... that way you can pick the bottle y'all want with dinner.... More

We stopped in for a light lunch and couldn't have been more impressed! Ordered the three cheese selection. My JF blush was delicious, but next time I'll order the "Smoked Cherry Manhattan" my husband had... that baby was amazing!!! Also had dessert- the creme brûlée for me and chocolate bread pudding for him. Both were spectacular and only failed in... More

It hurts my heart to write a negative review about my favorite restaurant, but it must be done. JF ran Mardi Gras specials advertised from 2/24-2/26. We excitedly made reservations for Sunday evening at 5:30. Not a single one of the specials was available. Not the gumbo, not the BBQ shrimp, not the Surf&Turf. Nor did they have the only... More

I had the flank steak and Cheryl had the stuffed pork. Both amazing. Perfect seasoning and combination of meals. I also had the French onion soup and it was very good. We have some of our best Lexington meals when we eat here.

My wife (who grew up only a short distance from the winery) and I enjoyed a wonderful Valentine's Day meal at the bistro. The food was delicious, the staff was attentive and the wine, as always, was perfect.

My Husband and I went to Jean Farris for an early Valentines Day dinner 2/11/17. We had a reservation at 7:00pm. We arrived early (6:15)to enjoy a glass of wine and a cheese plate at the bar. We ordered our drinks and cheese and got our drinks quickly. They were delicious and we enjoyed our conversation. We never got our... More

We went to Jean Farris on Saturday Feb 11 to beat the Valentine's Day crush of the 14th. My husband had the lobster bisque which had huge chunks of lobster. I had the strawberry salad, which was full of strawberries adding to the "red theme" of the holiday. We both had the Beef Wellington special and it was truly special... More

Description
We sit in the heart of all that is great, with a view that is timeless. We have taken these products, crafted and grown from across the state and region to create the wine, food, spirits, and cocktails that have made the name Jean Farris so much more than just a brand. For us Jean Farris is the wine, but it is at home on a table filled with friends. It's home is Kentucky.
