My son has been telling me that I need to try Sav's for a long time. This weekend, I finally went there to eat. It is AWESOME!!! I had a vegan peanut bowl and loved it! The peanut sauce is just the right amount of peanut flavor, and blends so well with the other ingredients, I chose rice this time... More

I was meeting an old friend for lunch and he suggested Sav's. I was familiar with it but had never eaten there. I got a rice bowl and it was very good!

This is a West African restaurant. I had a goat meal, which was actually like a traditional stew. It was definitely tasty, but I was actually hoping for something more unique, more unfamiliar. I would certainly go here again. The person who served me is the owner's son, and he was extremely kind and helpful. Overall, this was a positive... More

A group of us stopped in for lunch as we were looking for something other than normal burgers or pizza. Sav's delivered! I tried the peanut chicken bowl with rice and got a side of plantains as well. The food came out hot and fresh and what a great combination of flavors! The portions were good and we each very... More

Go here! By no means should my review deter you from trying this place. It is lovely, the man who owns it is super friendly and kind, and the food is yummy. I had the peanut goat bowl and it was fine-- it wasn't spiced enough for my liking, and while the hot sauce does add some heat, it doesnt... More

This is a review for Sav's Ice Cream shop across from his restaurant. I can't believe it has taken me so long to try this place! I LOVE ice cream and Sav's did not disappoint. All of the flavors are made there and include ice cream, gelato, and sorbet. Lots of variety including interesting flavors that use local ingredients including... More

Stopped here before the University of Kentucky football game. My friend and I both got the peanut beef and it was the perfect meal for a chilly day.

This place is so much more than a restaurant. It is a community meeting place, sharing of cultures, and meeting new friends. Run by a family building bridges in the community, you can enjoy great food and company. Try it out some time.

I have lived in Lexington for a year, but have been visiting the city since 2010. I never miss the opportunity to have lunch at Sav's: visited again last July and took some friends there. I am never disappointed - there have always something different for me to try, everything tastes delicious, the price is more than fair and Sav... More
