We haven't been to the Julep Cup in over a year and found it to be a gem of a surprise. Billy the bartender was superb, the other wait staff were very accommodating and the piano music was delightful. Definitely a hidden gem in Lexington's restaurant scene.

Wonderful well seasoned, creative cuisine and a varied menu. A true bargain. $15 to $30 gourmet dinners here that would easily be 3 to 5 times this cost in any major city and not be nearly as good. Live music the Friday night we were here. A wonderful evening.

I talk to locals frequently who have never been here, but whether for lunch or dinner, this place is awesome. Great atmosphere, food and service. We've never had a bad meal, and it's a great place for meetings or conversation.

Bill was our waiter - very friendly, helpful, and fun to talk with. Had an amazing peach julep, received complementary (delicious) sweet potato and rice fritters while we waiting for our meals, and really likde the atmosphere (julep Cup managed to pull of red walls with class!). The Kentucky hot brown was delicious. Wish we would have had room for... More

We had the trout, shrimp and grits and fish of the day. All were good. They had a chanterelle ice cream the day we were there and of course we had to try it. It received 2 good votes and 1 awful all in all not bad for mushroom ice cream. There was live music the night we were there... More

Our last taste of the South before going home to Canada! We were not disappointed and I'm sorry to say, but the shrimp and grits are better in Lexington than in Savannah! (blasphemous, I know!!) My son and I were pleased with everything from the mint julep (mine) to the hot sandwich (his) and fried green tomatoes. Excellent place! And... More

There was a group of 15 and the staff was more than gracious in seating all of us. We had a wonderful mint Julup along with a very good meal. We were traveling and they allowed us to split meals at no additional cost. This is a plus when portions seem to always be large and we had no way... More

There were 6 of us that had dinner at The Julip Cup last night. Everyone's food was great! Two of them got Salmon and it was said it was the best they had ever had. Another entree was the Hot Brown and that, too, was delicious! The atmosphere is super, quiet (you can hear yourself talk), the music was very... More

I made reservations for an after-graduation dinner here because my 14 year old thought the menu looked good. We had been long ago, but hadn't been there recently. I was a tiny bit worried because the reviews were so mixed, but I shouldn't have been. We had a party of seven, and every single thing that came out of the... More

4+ rating for this club-like restaurant. Enjoyed dinner at the bar with friends on Kentucky Derby weekend. We shared the spinach fondue and the chef’s special (didn’t catch its name) appetizers. Entrees included Kentucky Hot Browns and steaks with an assortment of side dishes. From the traditional Old Fashioned cocktails and Mint Juleps through the last bites of beef, it... More
