Just down the block from the Louisville Slugger plant/museum we were fortunate to stumble upon Boomers for lunch. Simple good food but well done and genuinely friendly service. Lots of interesting knick-knacks, an homage to Boomer, their pet. Would highly recommend the experience!

Stopped in here with my wife a daughter while on vacation. Best description would be eclectic. Everything everywhere is about Boomer the family dog who has since past. The food was very good. The bread on the sandwiches is wonderful! The owner waited on us and she was very friendly and cute. The rest of the staff was friendly and... More

We too stumbled across this restaurant after being at the Slugger Museum and factory. We were there a little before 11:00 and they don't serve until 11:00. But they accommodated us which made us feel special. We both had the BLT's. While we were waiting we were served an ambrosia salad. It was very cold and soooo good. Our BLT's... More

After seeing the Slugger's museum, we are hungry and find Subway across the street. Before crossing the street, we found small sign board as Boomer and read menu. I found pork barbeque and ordered and ... What a serendipity!!♡

This unique restaurant is about a block from the Louisville Slugger Museum, and it is really worth the stop here. The atmosphere/decorations are really historic and amazing. The place is bigger than it looks when you first walk in because there are a series of rooms stretching back from the front room. The waiter will bring you a menu and... More

Stopped in Louisville just to stretch our legs on a long trip and went to the Louisville Slugger Gift Shop to get something for a friend. When I asked the man at the info booth about a place to eat downtown, he said Boomers without even thinking about it. The place was totally not what I would have expected. It... More

This is about a block away from the Slugger museum and kind of hidden. But the food was really very good. You could tell the food was fresh and home made. The staff and owners were attentive and nice. It was a great place for a quick stop.

Great food, nice people, more like a sandwich shop at a little country store than downtown Louisville. We enjoyed our leisurely lunch.

We stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken salad sandwich was extremely good. They make the lemonade fresh and it was the best we've had. Even my grandson said the food was really good which is unusual for him to say. Very quaint and home style food.

This restaurant is named after the owner's beagle that is no longer with us, but they have a 2 year old beagle girl named Libby that remains in the office during business hours. My wife and I have a beagle and are big fans of the breed The food is simple but great and you can get a sandwich made... More
