We scored a table in the bar. The fantastic Robbie Bartlett was singing! We started with fantastic cocktails. They are generously sized to start your evening off well. Our server Loreal was an absolute delight and made our evening with her personality and top notch...professionalism. We had oysters on the half and a king crab leg (which was huge!). That was very filling. Next we split the wedge and each got a large piece of deliciously cooked belly on top. We were getting full so we split a filet with mashed and Mac 'n cheese. We asked for something chocolatey for dessert. Loreal brought out a red colored chocolate torte and a rose that she poured liquid nitrogen over. We sang and laughed with Robbie and had an absolutely wonderful evening.More

Big fan of this place. Will definitely return. Honestly can not say anything bad about this place. Usually eat at Tony's in Indy (favorite place). We would rate this place #1. We will return just for a good steak.

This restaurant is everything a classic fine dining steakhouse should be. It is a 5 Star in my book. Decor is great and ambiance fantastic (the piano player was very good). The service was impeccable and our waitstaff - Paul and Michael - were very...attentive. We passed on the salads but did try the Wagyu meatball and the prawns for appetizers which were excellent. I had the bourbon filet and my wife had the petit filet mignon both cooked to perfection. And the mashed potato and creamed spinach sides were also excellent. The highlight of the dining experience was the Golden Glove Cake created by pastry chef Kelly Zeigler. Words just cannot describe the taste of the cake. Needless to say, we could not finish the cake but did bring it home to enjoy again.More

It’s really unfortunate that the first 10 mins can set the mood for the entire dinner. I was waiting in the front bar behind the people who were seated at the bar as no space was available to get a drink. This is where the...girl in the front desk said I should stand as any of the 4 or 5 bartenders would see me and get me a drink. Uber Fail! Stood there for 10 mins and it was obvious that none of the sissy’s behind the bar wanted to get me a drink. I would have just let with my party but one of the people I was with wanted to try Rubys. I live in Cincinnat and have been to all of the Jeff Ruby’s and have never experienced such an obvious snub. Oh well guess the 10/15 dollar tip went to the server who waited on us. Btw - I live down the street from Logan Wilson LB from the Bengals. Won’t be back to this Rubys.More

We just got back from the annual Kentucky Farm Bureau at the Galt House. Each year our group has a group dinner at Jeff Ruby's. We have been invited the last two years and have taken our toddler daughter. This place has rolled out the...red carpet for us both years. We've had John as our server both years and he is just absolutely phenomenal. John is friendly and professional and makes you feel like you are the most important people in the world. Some places aren't tolerant of small children but they treated my daughter so wonderfully. John brought her a child cup and offered several times to bring her food out early. She was well behaved and he told us we had a very good daughter as we were leaving and he remembered us from last year. ALL of their food was outstanding. Their mac and cheese is to die for and steak is melt in your mouth. I look forward to our Farm Bureau trip every year just to dine here. It's not just dinner, it's an unforgettable experience. John, if you are reading this, thank you for making our visit amazing!More

I have had the fortunate to have eaten at some of the best steakhouses in the USA and this is right up there. Why? 1. Amazing atmosphere and decorum. Tables in back nicely spaced out and not crowded. The bar area with high top tables...and two TVs playing football games looks really fun....wished we had booked it. 2. Staff is super nice and professional. Our server Nick was amazing and had a great attitude and really helped us on menu. 3. Of course the steak....we had NZ Waygu Rib Eye Cap and and bone-in tomahawk. Love the crust (must have seared that at like 900 degrees), mash potatoes were good (where are garlic mash??) and believe or not, the blue fin tuna sashimi sampler was amazing--highly recommend. 4. Great wine list but unfortunately NYC prices. A few hidden gems on pricing if you hunt. Highly recommend....More
