The food here is very good and tastes like authentic, homemade fare. The Cuban sandwich is great (and enormous), as is the mole. Courteous employees and a comfortable atmosphere wrap it all up. Worth making a regular local stop.

Authentic! Salsa is fresh ad spicy. The best tacos around. Hands down! Very inexpensive. More space than they used to have.

It looks tiny from the front, but this is a pretty big place. There are lots of options and many things on the menu I have not seen offered locally. Still, the highlight for me was finding out there is a little market in the back of the restaurant - very cool.

It appears to be a small restaurant but it has a lot of room up a short set of stairs. The food is what it's all about. Good food served by a friendly staff. They also can host a large group (we had 20 people) and will reserve a space for the group. So, a couple, or a large group give this... More

Went on the recommendation of reviews. A nice "hole in the wall" type restaurant. At first it looked like very limited seating, but you have to keep looking - there is plenty! Chips and salsa to start, just excellent! We got had the enchiladas and both found them to be excellent. The mole sauce is really good. Service was prompt... More

The town is such a beautiful place. We were there for business in Covington, and drove the short distance to here. The place was very clean, the people were friendly, the food was authentic Mexican. Good menu choices.

I love authentic mexican style tacos on corn tortillas. Tacos pastor and the pumpkin flower are to die for. I live in Dayton Ohio and drive an hour to get to this place. Wish they would move in my backyard!

The chips and salsa are awesome. There are several authentic menu options available, some you have to be braver than others to try. Not necessarily amazing food, but a good cultural experience. They have some daily specials worth checking out. Very filling.

the chips and salsa was fantastic and very tasty! the food, not so much. flavorless really and my son was unimpressed with the chicken tacos. You sit right within the middle of the frying as it's an open kitchen. Service was great but we will not be back as it's not particularly kid friendly.

La Mexicana is a restaurant that is definitely not flashy and looks like it would be just ok.... But, these are the little gems that I love to come across. I like to order different tacos first to gauge how a restaurant is going to be because with tacos you are getting to taste the meat first before they put... More
