I returned to this restaurant 34 years after my first visit. I had great memories of my meal 34 years ago and a local recommended this place as the best restaurant to try the sea food gumbo. Service was ok, but not the most pleasant ever. The large sea food gumbo was not all that great. Very spicy and very... More

Their crab platter is a masterpiece. I'm slightly obsessed with crabmeat dishes, and I just love being able to go to a restaurant and get like 5 kinda of crab dishes on one plate. The fried alligator tail and frog legs are good too :)

A great place to eat. A little bit of a wait. But we'll worth it. Have a bit of everything. Great selection of non-fried seafood which is a huge bonus when traveling in BR. On par with the best seafood restaurants in the area.

I started dining at Mike's in 1990 during a business trip and have gone back regularly ever since every time I'm close by. My wife's sister lives about 60 miles away, so every trip there equals a trip to Mike's. I can't say enough good things about the place. It's excellent and it has maintained the same taste and high... More

The food was so good! We tried a couple of appetizers that were amazing... oysters and the jalapeño bacon wrapped shrimp. For my entree I got BBQ shrimp called Mike's Special with a side of dirty rice which I recommend. My friend got amberjack and said it was the best fish dish she'd ever had. Our waitress was very helpful... More

We came during restaurant week and each got the 25 dollar four course meals. Our wait was about an hour and the restaurant was packed. Wd got there around 8pm and seated around 9 pm. We left right before 10 pm. We started with seafood gumbo and chicken and sausage gumbo. We then got the Baby Burnside salad. except the... More

My son and I ate here, just as thousands of LSU parents have before us. I went for the broiled seafood platter, although I was thinking about that episode of "The Simpsons" when home gets kicked out for all-you-can-eat. Anyway, it's a good way to try the different things they have, and the portion was large enough for us to... More

My husband has been going to BTR for many years on business and has always said great things about Mike Anderson's. So for years I couldn't wait to go. Fortunately for us our first born decided to attend LSU.This is a staple for our family whenever we are visiting our Geaux Tiger! Each time we have gone the food has... More
