Purchased a Groupon for two. I ordered "Just the Shoppe Combo" and the fried catfish. Just the Shoppe Combo came with jambalaya, two sides and a side of gumbo. There was a large serving of nicely cooked jambalaya; the rice was soft and not too strongly flavored. The gumbo had only sausage and meat..I was expecting a thicker gumbo, but... More

After you spend some time admiring the cool sculptures that surround House of Jamba I highly suggest you stop inside and grab some hot, delicious, fresh cajun food. There's a good amount of seating. We went to the Jambalaya Shoppe expecting great jambalaya and we were sorely disappointed. The place is plain Jane, but the gal behind the counter is friendly and full of information about the dishes offered. And the gumbo was delicious, the potato salad was creamy without chunks of potato, the pastafalaya was an interesting option for those who aren't crazy about rice, and the jambalaya was just as it should be. The best of the Jambalaya Shoppes. Their Crawfish Etouffee over catfish filets is AWESOME!!!
