We stopped by for lunch. Place was half full which in the time of COVID means packed. We had the fried catfish which was good. The true star here was the service. There’s no kids menu and the person who took my order was kind...enough to make a suggestion for me which was just right. My waitress was even accommodating for us when we switched to outside seats.More

My friends and I stopped here for lunch before we visited the Old State Capitol. As we parked our car, we asked a few locals where to stop and they suggested Poor Boy Lloyd's, and it was a great suggestion. I had a ham and...cheese poboy with fries and it was delicious. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their food too. Finally, the service was great with a very friendly waitress and a charming gentleman who took my bill for the food. We are certainly glad that we stopped at this yummy, friendly restaurant right in the heart of Baton Rogue.More

Right off the interstate at Mississippi River Walk. Truly it’s only 1/2 mile Off the interstate to this Great Baton Rouge historic spot to enjoy a sloppy roast beef poboy and incredible home made onion rings. The staff was fun and pleasant. The low tin...ceiling only added to the atmosphere. If you have time stroll down the River walk to look at the mighty Mississippi River roll on by.More

Friendly staff. We loved our craft cinco de Bayou beer that we tried. Food was OK. Staff was running around like crazy but they tried hard.

On one of my layovers here. I was staying in a hotel near this wonderful restaurant. I ordered the shrimp platter and fried pickles and it was so delicious. Next time I will be back for some more.

Counter service restaurant with a pretty extensive menu located in downtown. Great oyster po boy sandwich paired with a Dixie beer - excellent lunch combo!

After multiple recommendations to try this local joint for some authentic Louisiana food, we left a little disappointed. Gumbo was the clear winner at the table, but other choices were just mediocre. Shrimp and catfish poboys were dry and lacked flavor. Red beans and rice...were very mild. Nothing bad, but wouldn't go out of my way to return.More

A " Flaming right wing idiot" . I do not discuss politics with strangers. The food was very good there and everyone in the restaurant was very cordial. All of my friends and myself thought the restaurant was very good.
