Went on a week night with my husband and adult son. The service was pathetic, we barely saw our server and had to flag them for drink refills, even though the restaurant was almost empty. The decor you would expect at a Mexican restaurant is non-existent and the bathrooms are not very clean. The margaritas are so-so, I agree with... More

Stood in lobby for a few minutes before we were seated by a young man that obviously did not want to be there. Girl took our drink order and brought drinks, than waiter finally came and took our order. We had to ask for hot sauce and chips. Someone else brought out our food when was not correct but did... The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. The staff is very attentive and they come check on you every few minutes to make sure everything is ok. Best part, you can take your leftover margarita in a to-go cup!

I went here with low expectations but it was near my hotel. Those low expectations were pretty well met. The margarita I ordered was small, way expensive for the size and quality; I'm thinking it was perhaps just a green Shirley Temple, as I could detect little to no alcohol. After I finally got my correct order, the chiles relleno,... More

We decided to visit Fernando's because of a family members recommendation. It was not the decor we expected. We enjoyed the margaritas and the chips and salsa to begin our dinner. The chips were seasoned which turned out to be a plus. The fajitas were very good and plentiful. The tamales and enchiladas were amazing. All of our experiences at... More

The best thing on the menu is the fajitas, and the 2 for 1 margaritas at happy hour. The other menu items taste old and greasy. When they have live music, it can be a fun atmosphere. Service is ok, bathrooms could be cleaner.

Steak fajita meat the best in town. Try the sampler appetizer great for meal. Frozen margaritas are great. Nice outdoor patio and service is very friendly.

We went here for a family night with my Dad and the kids. It was karaoke night and the atmosphere was great - everyone was very friendly and very accommodating. This was not my first time here. I went on my last trip to Baton Rouge and the food was just as good and the atmosphere just as inviting.

Exciting menu items not found on the Mexican chain-restaurant menus. Yucca, plantains, shredded pork in a Verde sauce, authentically prepared tamales and fajitas. Across from the Clerk of Court building on Coursey Blvd. Outdoor seating for temperate nights, bar with open windows also lends to the Yucatan atmosphere (except for the occasional siren from the 4th District police/fire/EMS station down... We stopped at Fernando's on our way home to Florida from Texas. Very pleasantly surprised by a restaurant just off of the highway. The salsa for their chips was really good! I had the Chilerelleno which was excellent! My boyfriend, who is very picky about Mexican food, got a combo plate that he was very happy with. The service was... More
