We live in NOLA, but were in Lafayette for a Garth Brooks concert and this restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who grew up in Lafayette. Now, I'd like to recommend it to you! Crawfish omelets, prime rib, crab cake eggs benedict, and...More

Thankful that we had reservations because the line was around the building! The food was fantastic, our waiter was wonderful, and the music made the day ever so special!

Back again, after 1 year, OMG the crab stuffed mushrooms were to die for and the bread pudding awesome. Jay was the very patient lady for a table of 13 demanding women. Hats off to him for his good humor and helpful attitude. He made...More

Stopped in for lunch. Attire was everything from business dress to casual. Décor is old time pub - wood and stained glass - with the famous Blue Dog paintings all about, but it works. Food was delicious and prices are moderate to high. I had...More

This is a must see in Lafayette! If you're a fan of George Rodrigue- you'll be in heaven surrounded by his beautiful work. If you're not a fan- you'll be amused and awed by the atmosphere! The food... I wanted to lick the plate. The...More

Food was only ok. Not really memorable. High priced for what you get and it's not what I thought it would be. Left underwhelmed and disappointed

The hotel staff recommended this place. I've been a S. Louisiana business traveler for 27 years so I have eaten in my fair share of the best local restaurants. I started with the seafood gumbo. It was perfect; almost as good as Bon Creole Lunch...More

The brunch at blue dog cafe was a bad experience overall. Right when entering, the dining area was hot and muggy and the floors were sticky. The restaurant was so hot within 10 minutes of getting my drink all the ice was melted. The buffet...More

I was there on 1/28/15. Is it typical to have so many employees standing around "not busy" and taking 20 minutes to get drinks and forget that one of my coleages ordered soup and brought out food with NO silverware? The waiter in turn said in replacement of his soup "he forgot" he would give him a $2.00 beer! Seriously??? We all came from out of state. Colorado, Seattle and Texas. I was disgusted with the service and the food was cold. We should have went to Popeyes... I'll be in Lafayette next week and I will not recommend or go there again. It appears these employees are riding on the blue dog name. To put it in other words.. It wasn't worth a crap.. 😷

See ice in the South is not the same as in other more urban areas! Try Bon Temps Grill. Great food and friendly service. The Duck Confit Soup was great!
