Wanted Cajun crawfish while traveling through Louisiana - Leonardo's did not disappoint! Crawfish Etoufee was great and the fried catfish was delicious. It came with the absolute best fries I've ever eaten! A bit expensive, but worth every cent!

Visited Leonard’s today for lunch. this place quite often so I thought I’d try it out. Went solo. Didn’t know how the ordering process worked at first but you need to stand in line upfront and sit down with a buzzer that goes off when...your order is ready. No prob. Actually works well. Got gumbo today with rice, sausage and chicken. It was absolutely great and I highly recommend it. I plan to be back here for a taste of the other dishes that I see on their menu (that is actually quite large) Bet it’s all good!!More
My husband and I ate at Leonard's for lunch on a Friday. We had the Friday special which was fried catfish, 3 giant fried shrimp, shrimp etouffee, potato salad, and bread. It was AMAZING! Just the home-cooking Cajun food we were looking for. I would...definitely recommend Leonard's and we WILL be back for our next visit!More
Really good cooking. Locals frequent this spot for classic Creole food. The red beans and rice was so satisfying. Chicken and sausage gumbo did not disappoint
The area code in this town is 337 not 318. Don't miss out on this great food because of this. Get the fried seafood poboys!!!!! amazing!
No inside seating but quick walk-up or drive through service. Ordered Monday's special, breaded fried pork chop, red beans and rice with sausage, corn bread, potato salad, drink. Pork Chop was as big as a dinner plate and about an inch thick, really tender and...juicy. Corn bread is sweet and texture of cake (really good), Read Beans and Rice with sausage was a huge serving, about 2 cups or more.More
interesting, we stopped by for breakfast, after reading other reviews, i was not expecting a fine dining experience, we were going to plan on dinner also, but we quickly changed our mind Food was OK, coffee was good, if you want your eggs cooked other...than scrambled, they are not available, we were overcharged over $2 which they corrected after bringing it to their attention, we will not be back, just an overall disappointment, sorry for the negative review, just being honestMore
This restaurant is a gem of a place off the I-210 loop on the east side of Lake Charles. The cuisine is Louisiana style, and you better come hungry. We took the special of the day which was red beans and rice with potato salad...and a corn muffin topped off with a fried pork chop. We are both from Louisiana and can say with certainty that the red beans and rice were superb and the chop was the best we’ve ever had.....period. The service is top notch and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. If you are looking for china plates and silverware this is not your place. If you want some dynamite local cooking try this restaurant.More
WIth the Seafood Platter, you get a big FIsh Filet. I would have preferred more Shrimp and Crab. Their Crawfish Etouffe wasn't very good. The Baked Potato with Shrimp and White Gravy was interesting. The Boudin Balls tasted like they had been sitting around for...a while The prices and service was okay. I wouldn't come backMore
We had po boys and crawfish etouffe- everything was fresh and hot. The food came quickly. The folks were nice. The bathrooms were clean. The food is basic - nothing fancy, but good when you are hungry. I got a small side salad and was...pleased that it had good tomato, egg, olives, and pepperoncini. The simple prayers on the walls remind us to say thanks for our food and the people who prepared it and the people we share it with.More
This is one of my favorite places to eat! The fried fish are light and crispy and everything is fresh and tasty. Just a little spicy. Never had anything bad here.
This was the best food my family had during our vacation in la. The portions for the price was unbelievable. Seafood platter is a must have. Along with the home made desserts.
Went to Leonard's for dinner and lets just say they did not disappoint!! We ordered the Boyd in balls, seafood platter, pizza and sides of potato salad and red beans and rice! All of the options were very good and made to order. The place...was also VERY clean! The staff was knowledgeable about the menu And very helpful with selecting what to eat! It appears that there is a convenient drive up for those on the go! We will definitely return!!!More

I love their authentic Cajun Cracklins. Great seasoning on pork bellies cut in 3/4 to 1 in cubes and deep fried! Yum!
