After getting some crappy food in the French Quarter, we found the good stuff on our way home. My Shrimp Po'Boy was divine, and hubby loved his Shrmp Ettouffet.

Ended up here after waiting over 2 hrs at Seafood palace, we had 11 people. They were very accommodating and found a table for all of us and service was great!
I had red beans and rice and it was absolutely delicious! It had nice pieces of sausage and the flavoring was just right! It had a nice little kick to it. The roll that is served with it was outstanding. My daughter had the gumbo...and she felt like it had been in the pot a little too long and tasted a bit scorched. She ate it though. Just remember you want to pay cash!!! If you use a credit card they charge a 4% merchant fee. Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed our experience. Don’t be put off by the location. There is a reason the parking lot is packed!More
Great food and atmosphere! The Pisolette with the Etouffee was amazing. The service was great from the minute we ordered until we left. A Lake Charles must stop to eat restaurant!
Fried popcorn shrimp was great! Not sure what they do to the fries but they are SO good! My husband got the baked potato and it was huge!
Love this place. Surprised at some lukewarm reviews. Whenever I travel this way I stop there. I have never been disappointed. Boudin Balls are great and even my wife liked the etouffee. She never would try anywhere else ate it with the fish and was...very happy. My greatest compliment is we will be backMore
I arrived at the restaurant at 9:15 PM. I ordered the 8 piece jumbo shrimp dinner for $19.99, and I added one piece catfish filet for $4.99. I was hesitant about ordering the catfish because I noticed a tray of cooked fried catfish fish sitting...on a table in the kitchen. The shrimps definitely were not jumbo, but they were hot, perfectly seasoned, and fried to perfection. The catfish on the other hand was horrible. The fish was warm, not hot as if it was freshly fried. The fish looked and taste as if the fish had been sitting for a while. When I order seafood, I expect to get cooked to order seafood. I am extremely disappointed with my dining experience, especially with a cost of $28.00.More
Food was good and ordered alcoholic drinks. The strange thing was with the water. I went up to the counter and was given a glass of water. When my husband asked the waitress for some water he was told they only have bottled water, which...they would charge you for. Looking around the room most “tourist” has bottled water. 🤷♀️More
Stopped here on our way back from New Orleans, and it did not disappoint. The crawfish were big and flavorful. They were served with this saucy that was tangy and delicious! There were $3.99/lb. Best decision ever.
I'm from deep SETX, so I'm used to different varieties of cajun food. This establishment blew 26 years of expectations out of the water. The crawfish was to die for, the gumbo was *chef's kiss,* and the boudin balls were oh so yummy. You order...at the front, then are seated. There isn't a dedicated server as they all come around and check on you. There is an option to tip when ordering. If you have the chance, go here!More
Stopped in for some seafood and was pleased with our choice. We ordered shrimp and fish and it was cooked perfectly. I would have loved to have tried their crawfish but I had had it the night before at home and thought that might be...to much for my cholesterol.More
Such a great place with great food every time and great service on top. Love this place! Took some visitors from China and they raved about it. Loved the spicy crawfish.
We ate here at the recommendation of someone at our hotel. The fried crawfish tails were good. Pay the extra for the dipping sauce. The crawfish etouffee over the baked potato was especially good with their special seasoning added.
Visited 2/8/2021... They are open! Great food and service! We had the pistolettes with shrimp and crawfish and we had crawfish etouffee. All were great but the pistolettes were amazing! Great services who attentive! Definitely recommend here when you are there area!
We always try to stop when traveling through. Steamboat Bills is hard to beat for good constant food and fast service at reasonable prices. I has the combo gumbo and red beans with fried alligator on the side. If you are driving through, this is...the place.More
