Tiny place, but worth the wait. The gumbo is truly amazing. We had ours piled high with oysters and shrimp. Ive had the jambalaya too and it was also tasty. Eat here!!!!

It is off the beaten path and well worth the drive away from the tourist mecca of the French Quarter. Not only do you give up the crowds and the lack of parking you also give up the high prices and long lines as well (we had a short wait inside for a table). Folks we eat food all over... More

First, Chef Ron’s is not easy to find, or to get to, and I lived in that general area for several years. It is on the Southeast I-10 Service Road, off of N Causeway Blvd, and immediately before the N Causeway Blvd entrance to the I-10. Once, the Service Road ran along N Causeway, all the way, but was re-aligned,... More

This local place is a hidden jewel on a back street in Metairie ! It looks like a hole in the wall from the outside. Magic happens inside the small 10 to 12 table restaurant. The traditional New Orleans cuisine is beyond expectations. Chef Ron was named one of the top twenty Chefs in Louisiana in 2013. We dined here... More

I never miss going to Ron,s when I am in town. Had dinner one night lunch the next. It's well worth going and you get more than your money's worth of gumbo. It's not a big place so if you go right at lunch expect to wait. Go before and beat the crowd.

The best food in New Orleans I ate here six or seven times I recommend it to friends the best pecan pie I've had.

Finally got around to visiting to decide if we would order for a family reunion. We did and the extended family loves us more. We now have to order gumbo and more for Thanksgiving in Georgia. Win win.

Wasn't staying at Holiday Inn and was recommended by the staff. Had to wait a few minutes as dinning area is smaller but well worth the wait. Had the boudin balls and then also the jambalaya. Enjoyed the food very much!

Ate here a few times, very consistent. The last time we ate there a week ago, it was overwhelmed with 2 baseball teams from out of town. The guys were stormed with people and mixed up some orders. Chef Ron himself came out and settled the problem nicely, calmly, and quickly! Despite the huge crowd that just went through the... More

Get the feeling it's a tourist trap, but not a bad one. Had some gumbo, it was fine. Service was quick and friendly. Owner was present and delightful. Would go back.
