I decided to try the one in Meterie...didn't enjoy as much as the one in new orleans. I arrived shortly before 12 and ordered a half seafood platter. It came out quickly but the oysters were soggy and the fish wasn't cooked all the way...but it was ok...

This is one of the best seafood restaurants in the region! If you are celebrating a family or work event, this is the place to go. Their giant seafood platters are outrageously large. 5 average adults can easily be satisfied by 1 platter. Now, they even have super delicious chargrilled oysters. The crabmeat au gratin is awesome! Also, don't leave... More

Was looking for crawfish and Deanie's was great. The crawfish was great, catfish, and the crawfish etouffee was fantastic. Our waitress was outstanding, worth the drive to Metairie.

Huge portions! My husband and I shared a 1/2 platter and had leftovers. We enjoyed the red potatoes instead of bread before the meal. Unfortunately, it was a torrential rain and we didn't get to experience the location on the lake.

This restaurant was highly recommended by hotel staff as well as internet reviews. It is over priced for the amount of food you get and it is not that good either. The Crab Quartet was not good at all. The crab meat was mush. The mac and cheese for children was awful. It was shells and very dry. We were... More

The huge platter fed a group of seven. The food was good and glad to have no complaints since it seems they have a terrible manager from other reviews below.

Fried seafood at its best at this classic Bucktown favorite. But, enough shortcomings to keep it off the excellent side. Service was oh so slow--over an hour when tables on either side of us started and finished before us. One order was wrong, and when I did not want to send it back because of a feared longer wait, I... More

1.0 star rating The owner, she gives this place a bad name. She's rude and a racist. Very nasty attitude. The location in bucktown not the French quarter. She talks down to customers. All of our guess wasn't there, so our guess size change from 4 to 2. She made us wait again after waiting 30 to 45 minutes the... More

Called ahead to make reservations for a group of 14 and were told they don't accept reservations but they could easily accommodate us for lunch. We all arrived at 11:15am and they brought us in the dining area and had us set up to sit at 4 separate tables of 4. This was our Christmas family dinner with several out... More

Deanie's Seafood is loved by locals as one of the "Best Seafood Restaurants in New Orleans" (Gambit Weekly, Times Picayune), "Best Place for Crawfish" and the favorite place for fresh Louisiana seafood prepared in our signature Creole seasonings. For over 50 years Deanie's has been serving huge portions of the best boiled, broiled and fried seafood. Its two restaurants in Bucktown and the French Quarter earned a Zagat food and service rating of "very good to excellent," and its French Quarter private dining spaces are perfect for special events, rehearsal dinner and weddings.
