Busy and noisy, just like NO (actually Metairie). Expect a wait, but they will text you when table is ready. Excellent oysters. Great Po-boys. You will enjoy.

We live on the Gulf and are used to fresh seafood so we have really high expectations and Acme didn't disappoint. I was quite shocked to be served the best plate of fried crab claws I have ever eaten. They were very large and fresh, and were fried just perfectly, not the least bit "greasy". My fiance was in heaven... More

This was by far the worst experience ever at a famous New Orleans landmark. We checked in and were told to expect a 30-45 minute wait. After 1 hour and 15 minutes we were seated. We complained to the manager to no avail. The hostess or the dining room manager obviously decided not to push tables together to seat our... More

The raw oysters and grilled oysters were fair but not the best. For New Orleans standards I was disappointed. Service was friendly and attentive.

As always Acme never lets us down. Char broiled oysters are my favorite They gave a very wide menu so everyone can order easily if you have multiple people I truly enjoy Acme if I am only in for small bite or a big meal

The place is crowded and noisy. The menu is rich. The plates are quite abundant. The problem is that fresh oysters are also proposed fried. Perhaps I made a mistake and put a wrong order. My big roll with oysters (fried!) shrimps was truly disappointing and I didn't finish it. The personnel was very nice and fast. This is the... More

While in the New Orleans area I thought I would enjoy some Southern Seafood cuisine but due to the music festival every Restaurant in the French Quarters had a extremely long wait time for a table so I ventured over into Metairie & found the ACME OYSTER HOUSE on Veterans Blvd. I elected to sit at the Oyster Bar &... We visited on game-day (Broncos vs Saints), and were able to be seated rather quickly. Chargrilled and raw oysters are great! Prices are a little better than the New Orleans restaurants, taste and convenience (I was in Meterie) are better.

The food is consistently good, but the patio is the noisiest venue I have ever tried to eat in. There is nowhere near enough available parking; you'll likely have to park in the adjacent shopping center lot.

Thank David T
